Definitely not me! It's good that the weather doesn't look set to throw a spanner in the works, though.

From a championship perspective, it'd be great if we could see McLaren on top. :)

To hell with 2am. I'll ignore the sports news and the F1 sites and watch back-to-back replays of FP1 and FP2 on Sky from 11am tomorrow. I work from home and managed three separate phone conferences and the usual run-of-the-mill tasks while keeping F1 in the background the whole time last Friday. I can always pause the action if the boss phones me

I'll be up, don't think we'll learn much from the first session, but taking every chance I can to see Lewis in a McLaren.

Who knows if it will ever happen again.

Oh yes not long now, for now though im playing F1 2012 trying to improve the racenet challenge at Korea ,you really do need some desent flow in sector 3 . One corner you make a mistake the rest is history ,you can't drive properly because its fast flowing through that section . Great track though hope Mclaren and Kimi get some good run's out there.

precisely. I'm also really excited to see if Hamilton/McLaren can respond to the red bull dominance, and I feel I simply cannot miss this session. I know we'll learn next to nothing, it just feels like it is really important.

So, according to the video on the BBC website, Rosberg offers to do the 'Gangnam' dance on the podium if he wins.... almost worth cheering the Mercs on just to see if he honours it!!!

1st time here and doesn't like to use simulators. Didn't realize the track had alternate layouts, though.

Is it me or was Jenson's McLaren making Red Bullesque noises when off-throttle?

I heard that too, wondered if it was more to do with the microphone

The car definitely sounds rougher off-throttle even on-board.

Didn't notice, but not really hearing anything on Lewis' car, but he's not exactly pushing things either.

Just for reference, pole position here last year was 1:35.8

Me too, I also heard it off Lewis' cars especially around 3,4, and 5

Pretty sure it's the microphones, you can hear it's more raspy on the Merc as well.

I don't think it's the mics Don, the damn thing almost sounds like traction control.

DRS use is going to be interesting in Quali, with all the medium speed corners, see who is brave enough.

Yeah it's weird :/

Let's see if more cars have this sound, then we will know. I still think it's the mics, they sound more sensitive to me

Those front wings are ridiculous...they have replaced all the wings and winglets on the body for the same effect, probably rendering the reg change useless.

Didn't hear the McLaren, but Sauber doesn't sound so raspy to me.

I know it's an old topic but how they make new circuits and are free in what they do, but then this pit lane exit is just horrendous

Red Bull's lack of running so far feels so ominous, has an air of confidence.

McLarens are the only raspy ones out there.

Are they drilling into the floor of Lewis's car?

Yes, he drives for Lotus

Less work going on by the look of it so he may be going out quite soon, hopefully for more than a single lap.

Second and third sector are the sectors where the difference in fuel loads are more apparent, aren't they?
