They missed a full day of testing because of bad weather during wintertests. That's why the teams get a bit more track time. They also had it at Monza.

Aw cmon Pic :( at least you did a good start, for once..

I expected a better come back for Da Costa. Started 26th and last, 18th at the end of the 1st lap, 13th at the end of the race

Aragon isn't the best track for overtaking. Maybe he'll get enough fuel for tomorrow's qualifying.

Kevin Magnussen just dominated the race, McLaren must be happy that their young drivers is performing great out there, something to look forward to in the future :)

I got to see only the last 5 minutes. Glad for Kevin and Sirotkin. Nice little battle at the end with Pic and Stevens. It seems there are a lot of good brits in the feeders series.

Dominating win from Magnussen there. Give him a year or two to mature and then give him Button's seat!

I can dream can't I? :drunk:

Well Pic is in a new team.

I think they were short in tyres.

Good race also from Nato.

there seemed to be virtually no fans / visitors on the Aragon track? I also didn't notice stands / tribunes for the fans to sit? Why do they race on an empty track?

1:30 PM.

Streams would also be appreciated via PM. Yesterday's one doesn't seem to work for me anymore. Sorted now!

Safety car start due to the rain it seems. Looks like things could get a bit hectic with one drivers race already over as he crashed out on his way to the grid.

He stalled on the grid at the start seem to recall.

Edit: "The rain continued to fall in the afternoon, prompting the race director to order a safety car start, though the cars of Arthur Pic (AV Formula) and Marlon Stockinger (Lotus) were left stranded on the grid, ruling them out of the race start proper, on lap three." Source.

What was the matter with Pic?

He stopped during lap 2 when the field was still behind the SC, apparently with a technical problem.

Is Nato going to get a penalty for coming back on track like that? Looked pretty darn dangerous to me.

Huertas Mr. "Boring but Reliable" as usual. He's nothing if not a "safe pair of hands".

Melker gets additional brownie points for crazy pass on da Costa

the source about Pic is totally false. he was behind the safety car and his car suddenly stopped and he parked on the side of the track after 2 laps . I think Stockinger wend out of track in the formation lap

about Nato, he received a drive through penalty for a "dangerous come back on the track"

Have to say i'm pretty impressed by Sirotkin so far. He looked good in AutoGP, but i never would've thought he would be fighting for podiums in 3 out of the first 4 races in WSbR. Strange that the Eurosport commentators didn't even mention him when they were talking about who could be rookie of the season.

Also surprising to see Felix Da Costa struggling. After last season, you'd expect him to dominate, but he's already 30 points down on Magnussen and Vandoorne. There's no doubt about his quality, but it would be a huge disappointment to not win the championship this year.

Huertas winning a race, when I thought i've seen it all... Good performance from him though. Also impressed by Sirotikin, might be a surprise this season. Vandoorne did well with his 3rd place finish because the first race wasn't good at all. Also the move from Melker on Felix Da Costa was good to watch, really showed what a good wet racing driver he is. If only he gets his qualifying pace back than he could fight for the podiums.

But the man of the weekend was without a doubt Kevin Magnussen. Didn't think he would be this good this season, maybe he will be the dominant driver this season instead of Felix Da Costa.

He had a bit of an off-weekend, but having been sent to the back of the grid due to running out of fuel in qualy, when he was due to qualify 3rd for the first race, can't have possibly helped. Also retired from 2nd in Monza with a puncture, when he was well on the pace. That's 2 races ruined out of 4 completed, both no fault of his own, which goes a long way to explain the championship gap at the moment.

How should I know? Even his own website doesn't tell.
