[Doug Nye]

I have just heard from Mike Barney - of past Cooper and McLaren fame - that his great pal and Cooper Car Co stalwart Terry Kitson passed away in his sleep last Friday night. Terry was 'the boy' at Cooper's Hollyfield Road factory before working as mechanic and ace welder there. He was on great form until quite recently when a cardiac problem emerged, and when we last spoke a few weeks ago he was relishing the challenge of helping run The Cooper Car Club. Like so many of 'the Cooper family' Terry was just a really nice bloke and always great fun. Most sincere condolences to his widow, family and many, many friends...
