Any saying on what Lewis will hit a issue?

I'm going for lap 28

If he has a clean weekend will that be the first in 5 or is it 6 races?

What has changed? One man, Sam Michael.

Pretty sure more has changed than just him arriving.

Maybe all due to his arrival...

There's really no reason to assume that except for the 'what's changed' argument. And like I said, him arriving isn't the only thing thats changed so it doesn't really work.

considering its the mercedes engine that has been failing for the most part its curious people are blaming the team..

i can see mclaren seriously looking at other engine suppliers for 2014

rage only happens when its Hami's turn for the weekend tech failure.....

The difference is Hamilton was actually in a chance of winning races.

Mercedes? 0 engine failures for the last 4 or 5 years.
The mechanical fuel pump that failed is not part of the engine.
It has not yet been established what the cause of the Mercedes-sourced fuel pump failure is.
It could've been influenced by something external.

Could it be that the multiple mistakes mean that the car is more difficult to control? I'm not sure that I would take Davidson too seriously...

Davidson easily pull things out of his butt.

When a fuel pump design that has been used for 10 years without issue fails it is most likely a quality control issue with the supplier than something the team themselves can control. However, this years gearbox issues (and indeed last years) are something the team should work on, as such problems occur too often.

Awesome drive, fantastic! Gonna miss Lewis next year, and I guess he will miss McLaren as well if you look at the pace of the Mercs. One would wonder what could have been this year..

Great win today guys! We are left to wonder what would have been had the car help up in Singapore and Abu Dabih.
Great win! Good to see Lewis win again and leaving on a high.

It's mind-boggling where they are in the championship with that car. What a machine.

Great job guys, flawless weekend! Great pit stop as well. This kind of performance is expected for the whole season if you want to win the championship. Next year would be a harder season without Lewis behind the wheel.

Great team performance! LH was great and JB was also great. Without the problem JB had yesterday, we may have been looking at both on the podium.

I think its the first time in many years that I am happy for McLaren and Hamilton, good job guys, you deserve this, Singapore and Abu Dhabi should also have been yours, I shame with the reliability, you could have challenged for both championships this year.

Wasn't flawless really. It was for Hamilton at least, this time. But not for Button. Loss off power yesterday and KERS issues today. Great driving from both of them though!

First post after following this forum religiously for a few years!!

A big congratulations to Lewis and Mclaren. As a Mclaren fan I feel this is an extremely well deserved win for both Lewis and Mclaren who have both given us some great excitement over the years. A fantastic send off for one of the most amazing drivers to drive for Mclaren in recent history.

Thanks to all the guys who regularly post here, which is often a great insight into the crazy and thrilling world of Mclaren. :-)

Great win, nice and uplifting after a string of poor performances. Just make clear to Anthony, the trophy is staying in Woking. :)

I really wasn't expecting that. I remember FP1 FP2 and FP3 where vettel was smashing everyone with over 1.2 secs, then came qualifying and he did the same 0.5 gap in Q1 and Q2 till LH kept him honest in Q3. I never thought McLaren had a chance here.

I can only dream if it was LH driving that red bull. McLaren must really be regretting that Lewis is leaving.

Well, as predicted they didn't do it.

Jenson found himself near the back on lap 1, he could have been at the back but with a better car for overtaking, a wasted opportunity really.

Starting on hard tyres on the wrong side of the track, there was never much chance that Jenson would gain places at the start, except by some really fluky piece of luck (and that seems to happen to other people).

Great drive by both Lewis and Jenson.

Anyone catch Ted's interview with Ron Dennis.

Sounded very bitter when asked about Lewis leaving and went on rant saying they will win again, usual Ron speak rant.

Didn't watch Ron's interview but saw MW and JB's together. I came away with the distinct impression that JB has got MW in the bag.

Yep, he certainly has. Maybe with Lewis going, Jenson might perform better as team leader. Might also be a disaster. Looking forward to 2013.
