Ferrari apparently.

Hopefully SD will think about his No2 driver´s abilities for a minute or two. Compared to FA Flippy was just pathetic today - heck compared to anyone but Narain.

Finally an exciting race!!
Kimi, Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton
Webber, Rosberg

I have to say all the luck that Vettel lacked yesterday, he had it today. Still good drive!

He could have been more "lucky" by not having the fuel problem in the first place, which would probably have allowed for winning the race after Hamilton's retirement (+13 points relative to Alonso). The net result for the weekend is still Alonso being lucky.

+1
Yes some circumstances today worked in his favor... but lets be honest him starting from the pitlane was anything but lucky really.

Anyone questioning Seb´s ability to charge can just sod off.

No not really. He crashed into a car screwing his front wing, and then screwed it again with his team mate, losing his temper.
The reason he ended up in the podium is that not one, but two SC's came out in the right moment, after everyone in front was spinning, retiring, and crashing out. Plus the car advantage.

Surely mclaren need a massive change in their whole approach to this sport now. This season they've had the fastest car for the majority of the races, one of the top 3 fastest (if not THE fastest) driver in the world and they end up with said driver out of the championship with 2 races remaining (realistically 4 or 5 races remaining) and most likely 3rd in the championship. And to top it all off they also lose their star driver. That is a massive disaster really...

Hamilton set off controlling the race and giving every signal he would dominate this race, but with McLaren's reliability..... Button not very impressive at all this weekend.

-The winner is a very, very deserved Räikkönen! Absolutely fantastic result!
Grosjean had an OK race for as long as it lasted. The puncture at the start; luckily not his fault, 'cause that was the result of an over-ambitious Rosberg.

-Alonso looked dangerous at the end, but a little bleak in the early part of the race. He looked a little zapped after the race, but part of it was probably a slight dissapointment with the result, and not being able to gain more on Vettel.
Massa had a shocker. The cynic in me feels like saying he's fallen back to his usual level, 'cause five, six good GP-weekends isn't enough to develop a balance between good and bad races/GP-weekends for him.
Most important for Massa is to learn when he's lost out. He's probably the most stubborn and dirty F1-driver today.

-Crazy race for Vettel, ending with a very impressive third place! They did the right thing gearing the car the way they did. Plenty of luck with SC and drivers dropping out though.
Webber's race wasn't very good, and got decided a bit by his bad start. His fault what happened with Maldonado I think. (Think!) Innocent victim in the Perez/DiResta/Grosjean scrap.

-Happy to see Maldonado getting a very respectable fifth place. Had a tough time before the first stop as he was struggling with tires. Nice to see Senna netting points too, very important for Williams!

-Surprising to see Di Resta managing ninth, 'cause that didn't look likely at race-start. Justice prevailed when Perez got a deserved DT from forcing him off.

-Ricciardo came from nowhere to score points again. Must've been a pretty good job from the entire team.

-Kovalainen couldn't sneak up to 12th, soo Marussia still ahead of Caterham.

Magnificent win by Raikonnen. All he needed was a penalty for Vettel, a hopeless start by Webber and a mechanical failure for Hamilton to take the victory he so clearly deserves due to his colossal racing talent. I was particularly impressed by his decision not to try and race Hamilton after he completely missed his braking point - that shows his genius.

Solid race from Alonso - got the first lap pass in on Webber, 2nd is a good result.

Vettel could have won this if he had just held back a little in his battle with Senna and when following Ricciardo. Nonetheless a great drive through the field, good to see him pass Button for the final spot on the podium.

Webber - what a shocker. If ever we needed a demonstration of why he hasn't even managed to finish runner-up to Vettel in a WDC, let alone win the title, today was it. Hopeless start, dumb positioning in his pass on Maldonado, and incapable of passing much slower cars afterwards. To be behind Vettel even after Vettel had started from the pit lane and done two stops is embarrassing, bumping into the remains of the Perez crash was probably for the best.

You have to feel for Hamilton. Second race this season where he has had a mechanical DNF while leading. And this looked like a comfortable 25 points. Although blaming the tyre temperatures for his missed braking point was a good laugh.

Perez got greedy. Passing Di Resta around the outside would have been a spectacular double move, bailing out when it didn't come off was wise, but turning in on Grosjean straight afterwards was stupid. Third stupid move since the McLaren contract.

Only Felipe Massa could combine doorhandling another car off the track and spinning yourself off on the kerb within two corners. Priceless.

Cannot understand why Williams are leaving Maldonado out on dead tyres for so long. Have they really become that unfamiliar with being at the front of a race that they don't know what to do?

Big crash with Rosberg and NK. Mechanical problem for NK or just an extremely slow car and driver?

Pleased to see KK sixth but he was outpaced by Perez today which is less pleasing.

Entertaining.

Great to see 3 champions on the podium today. I think the fact that these guys are also the top 3 in the WDC isn't an accident.

Vettel is probably a happier man than Alonso today. I think Ferrari/Alonso would've hoped to claw back much more than 3 points from Vettel today.

Sure it was a good laugh for everyone without a clue. You can't lock both of your front wheel at 300 kph when your tires are up to temperature. Glad you enjoyed it, though.
