proving my point, Fernando delivers much more in lesser equipment than other who have luxury to screw - up & order sister teams to move out of way to make up places.

The ordering sister teams out of the way comment is particularly delightful considering you're talking about Fernando.

Not really, have we all forgotten Vettel's alternators?
Alonso is the lucky one this year.

Yes, Alonso has been so lucky that he has regularly driven the fastest car. Everything, race after race, has been extremely easy for Alonso :drunk:

Vettel is lucky because he drives a great car, the fastest in a respectable amount of races, he was unlucky yesterday, he has been lucky today...luck goes, luck comes...

At the end luck is there for everybody. Lucky or unlucky, in depends on what you want to believe.

Seb clearly didn't have clean ride this weekend, but the way how it started after quali, and how it ended today, I say, there is justice after all. Thanks Kimi.

Monza, Spa, Suzuka?

Suzuka was Alonso's own fault

That's not getting any truer if repeated another 1000 times. It was nobodys 'fault', just an unfortunate incident.

Please Lotus give Kimi a WDC worthy car next year........Kimi has been one of the standout drivers of the season. He's 3rd in the WDC in a Lotus!

Kimi has been the standout driver of the year for me. Had he had a slightly better car i think he could of easily been world champion.

You can't always have everything, at least he had a very reliable car which isn't slow at all.

I don't think he would do any better in Ferrari than he did with Lotus, with Mclaren, no way, even worse, his car would break down as it used in the past, the only better Team would be Red Bull, but having Webber or Vettel as a team mate is not the same as Grosjean.

Sorry but Lotus was a perfect team for his comeback. He has a slower less experienced team mate and a crazy reliabe car, he finished all races so far! Im rather in the Lotus and finish all races than suffering like Hamiton and im pretty sure Kimi would agree because he already tasted what Lewis got this year.

Great post. Eventho I'm fan of Lotus, everyone need to agree that Lotus made GREAT car that is reliable (I believe only failure was of alternator in Grosjean's car). KR is the only driver that drove all, ALL laps during this season. And the car is always up there, there wsnt a single track where Lotus was so bad that it couldnt get into Q3 (if it didnt get into Q3 it was due to driver underperformance, rather than car).

As related, you need to consider that Raikkonen was rusty at the beginning of the season, I believe he could even get a pole or two in Lotus, if he would drive quali laps like he did one in Abu Dhabi.

Typical, for once Raikkonen has a decent shot to fight for the win or atleast podium and just this time I can't see the race ):
Oh well, atleast I get to be drunk :stoned:

Yeah, I think I jinxed myself there.....f*king hell
Would have loved to see this one really...now I'm just suffering from serious hangover after 2 days of being wasted

I think we will be seeing more of this podium in 2013. These are the top drivers moving forward imo.

Lol at not including Hamilton in that list considering his malfunction gifted Kimi the win.

I don't think Hamilton will see much of the podium as he will be driving the Mercedes next year. But of course he is one of the top drivers! Just further back in 2013.

Hamilton going out was a partial gift, Kimi still had 35 tough laps to get this win and he delivered.

Sorry, saying 'gifted' is too ambitious. Hamilton didn't even finish 19 laps out of the 55 lap race. Basically, McLaren did not have the car to win the race, and whoever won totally deserved it. Gifitng etc. is being a bit dreamy.

McLaren was totally out of the picture. No different to Spa or Silverstone.

BTW, didn't Hamilton almost lose the lead once in those 19 laps?

I can't speak for all Kimi fans. But Kimi did compete for more than one-third of the season in 2005! It would be equivalent to Kimi fans claiming he was unlucky not to win the championships in 2002 or 2008 though.

Hamilton had shown strong pace on both compounds (throughout the weekend). That's why most pundits and analysts agreed that it was Hamilton's to lose. And he lost it, albeit through no mistake of his own.

That, I am not denying. I am just saying 'gift' is not the suitable word.

I agree with you. Kimi certainly had strong pace. Yes, he inherited 1st place from Lewis but did very well to keep it in the remaining 30-35 laps.

Definitely deserved win for Kimi, though can't help but feel gutted for Lewis who has been head and shoulders above his teammate all weekend.

Kimi had a great drive as did the other two but you seem to be forgetting someone.

Hey olliek88, I am speaking of 2013 when I expect Hamilton to be midpack in the Mercedes. Of course he was in Abu Dhabi and for the next two races Lewis will be still a podium threat.
