If I had to guess, I'd say things will ebb and flow between Yamaha and Honda for a while. Jerez should suit the M1, and Le Mans, Honda. And then Mugello.
Hopefully Rossi and Pedrosa will grab some wins to be sure to keep the championship closer and more exciting.

What a great situation - we should all make the most of it. The championship could go any of 3 ways at the moment.

MM's ride rescued what would have been a dull, dull race, shame as the support classes were pretty decent.

Talking of excitement, it was a pleasure to watch the European Speedway GP from Bydgoszcz, Poland on Eurosport Saturday, a splendid evening's entertainment. Whether you're a fan or a speedway sceptic, try and catch one of the re-runs, you won't be disappointed.

The supporting categories always provide good races :)

As for speedway, I must watch it sometime. It's quite popular here in Poland, though I never enjoyed it very much.

Until the last lap with a backmarker, Lorenzo was just three seconds or so off the lead which is nowhere near as large a gap as I expected from practice etc. Jorge mentioned that he needed just a couple of tenths to challenge the Repsol Honda's. They were not as dominant as he was in Qatar.

Seamless gearbox could deliver couple of tenth he needs. Don't you think?

Who knows? He's not old. Ducati won't go so far so fast. WSBK will be there.

He really should have done WSBK this year. He needs to get some confidence back. I know he's been hurt, but he NEVER used to crash! He was Mr. Ultra Consistent.

Have to agree, at least he'd be back at the sharp end.

Jeez Leon - Still we were talking of riders who crash a lot...

I too hope that Spies finds his was back to WSBK and that he DOESN'T do a Toseland.

Given his past form, he'll probably have a couple of pins put in it and still do the race.

According to this:

http://www.p1race.hu...rdulon_20130426

Biaggi want to race in Monza with a wild-card. Gregorio Lavilla (Dorna) confirm this to La Gazetta D'ello sport.***

Thats a bombshell imho, ant to be more interesting, we didn't know yet in wich team/bike want he ride. Aprilia seems the obvious choice, but some source suggest it will be a Kawa, or a Suzuki or maybe Ducati.

Wouldn't disagree - He did a great lap and is very quick around here. Also, I just removed him from my MCN 'Fantasy' team, so he's bound to win. :)

Just seen Haslams accident - ouch..

Completely.
Fantastic pass for P2.

Surely Sykes should have a MotoGP ride next year????
Hopefully a potential Moto GP deal is also the reason Rea is still on that VFR750F too.....

Wow, what a great win for Kawasaki. Sykes destroy competition by 9 seconds.

Panigale just sucks, even Suzuki was faster.

Tbh with an R6 he'll have to be beating Sofuoglu if he wants to follow Crutchlow and Davies's trajectory. Great victory though. I think a win at Assen is worth more respect among race fans than a win almost anywhere else.

As for Sykes, I think it's now totally safe to say that only Spain has better riders than the UK.

The R6 is not a garanty of success, otherwise the grid would be filled with it. Plus it's an old bike while the Kawa is brand new, it's top end speed is really superior to the R6's.

Not only is it old, it is not even the old factory bike whereas the kawasaki is a brand new full factory bike. It was really exciting but I can't help but think it was a game gone wrong for Keegan.

Dunno if there is anything to be read into it but Wilco Zeelenburg was there to congratulate Laverty.
Story goes that Keenan wins the SuperSport title it's in his contract that he gets a factory WSBK Kawasaki in 2014. Don't see them dropping Sykes so no matter how good Baz's season he could find himself without a seat next year.
Ducati get bigger restrictors from Monza, 2mm. Teams reckon it will be worth about 5hp and make no difference.

A candidate for a Yamaha-FTR or whatever chassis they end up in perhaps?

Or if smith doesn't work out for tech 3.....

I think Keenan underestimated what Sam had in the tank. When he ran wide he caught up pretty easily it looked like his usual race. At 5 to go Keenan did his usual and tried to break away and at almost a second he looked like he would do it but Sam reeled him in and suddenly Keenan started looking a bit desperate Sam kept his head and took a bloody impressive win. At one stage when they cut to the team Steve Martin translated a crew member as saying "He's playing with him"

With the machines available this should be Keenan's title to lose.

If they replace some of these amateurs on the CRT's, no complaints here, but neither of them deserve rides over the current satellite/factory riders.

Especially Rea. Without fail, everybody seems to sing his praises the one or two weekends a year he does well, but then he's nowhere the rest of the season.

No?

He'll be forgotten again as soon as normal service resumes. Then he'll be a front-runner for a weekend in a few months time and we'll get posts again talking about how good Rea is. Its been like this for years now.

EDIT: Also curious what BT Sport is. I'm moving to the UK soon and need to have my motorsports programming figured out!

I believe BT recently brought out ESPN UK and all of its channels and broadcast rights, and will be repackaging it all into their own group of Sport Channels launching in the summer before the new football season.

It would very sad to see it leave British Eurosport, I just hope BT use their brains and recruit the same commentary team, my favourite of any racing series on British TV. I do wonder if this is true if it is for exclusive rights or not? While BBC coverage is a bit thin it is still great to have the Motogp race on terrestrial tele, I hope they continue doing so.

Are ESPN involved in broadcasting motorcycling or other sports that are shown Eurosport ? I see football, rugby etc, but nothing else on their website

http://tv.espn.co.uk/gb/espl/home/

In fact, a quick check on Wiki shows no connection whatever

https://en.wikipedia.../wiki/Eurosport
