Does anybody know how many DIATTO GP-cars from the 20s are still there?

Perhaps it should be pointed out that the Summers car was a 4 cylinder Type 20S.

Was JoBo asking about the later 8 cylinder cars that influenced Maserati?

Purely from fleeting memory the straight-8 cars are sometimes credited largely to Alfieri Maserati's input. Marque enthusiast Frank Lugg sent me screeds of paperwork many years ago which indicated far more credit is due to Ing. Giuseppe Coda (? memory, once more) and he felt that this gentleman should
also be credited with much of the design thinking, and perhaps detail too, which subsequently emerged in the first Maseratis.

Yes, I've also heard a lot about the work of Ing. Coda from Frank.
There's a long PDF about Diatto and the Maserati connection, with lots of pictures too.
