Button lost power or something. Came back into the pits with 2 minutes left which didn't give the team the time to fix the problem. He will start from 12th tomorrow.

thanks

Why did Di Resta scuttle off into the pits, when he could have entered into the top 10?

Yeah what a let down... have they ever had a clean weekend??

Not this year, I don't think so. Closest was Australia, and even then, McLaren botched Lewis's pitstop which then gave Vettel 2nd place.

Wrong car! Wrong car! (for the conspiracy theorists) :rotfl:

More that everyone else delivers more...

In Q1, the top runners hold back, use the prime tyre, so the middle tier tend to look better

Everyone who made it into Q3 improved on their Q1 laps by a minimum of three tenths (Hamilton).

Both Williams set 1.37.5 in Q1. Maldonado found half a second. Senna went backwards a tenth, it's not good enough.

Vettel was massively quick in sector 3 - 31.5s on his fastest lap in Q2.

I imagine everyone will want to avoid starting 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th or 10th considering the lack of grip on that side

They have to do multiples to get the tyres working, surely?

good point but impossible to do in practice unless you don't set a time and start 10th

Qualifying has been great, watching every single car spend almost the entire time on the track. It's not very often you actually see a car in qualy nowadays.

Hamilton got close, Mclaren was much closer than it looked before Q3.

Alonso 8th after Gros penalty, right? I'll take it. :D

An unbelievable performance from Hamilton. Matching a 1s a lap faster car. Unfortunately nobody will remember.

Hamilton and Vettel are without a doubt the two best qualifiers out there. I always think that the McLaren is lacking in speed but Lewis always seems to be able to edge that extra bit of performance!

It was nice to actually have a little excitement there at the end of Q3

Is it only me.. or has Alonso been choking since Korea? Massa has been unusually close to him and he makes more mistakes during FP and Q.

not just you.

I could switch channels in Opera, but it didn't work in Firefox or Chrome.
