I expect we'll see a lot of sideBurns. (And it's time Kimi grew some, like in the good old days of F1
he likes so much.)

:D I have said this before in this forum and stick with it:
I strongly doubt Kimi can get any sideburns, even if he liked to have some.
Dear Kimister doesn't seem to be the 'hairy' type of guy. ;)

Not really.

He is young and can progress.

If Sauber takes Perez, Lotus should keep Grosjean.

Correct. I think Grosjean can be a future world champion, IF he gets his mind straight (and starts correct).

exactly, that's how marketing works. IMO, lotus has one of the striking looking cars in the field (E20 Darth vader :cat: ) so if they can do some clever marketing with slogans like they used in Jordan era cars with B&H, then it'll raises young demographics curiosity. personally, i find Lucozade ads bland, at first i thought it was a oil company logo :p

Except energy drinks companies don't have half the disposable income that tobacco companies do.

Oh my. That's so true. Who from us didnt try Red Bull mixed with Vodka (btw it is prohibited to sell it mixed in clubs in my country, so they give you vodka and Red bull in seperate glasses lol).
Btw it is really bad for health

...and tastes like sh*t.

I've not even the slightest clue how red bull sells tons and tons of this...eh...dishwater.

On Topic: Had my fingers crossed for Coca Cola buying Monster and investing big in Mercedes GP/HAM :'(

the last thing MGP AMG needs is more money ... look at Lotus, they dont' even have to money to meet RRA, yet they're kicking ass. it's all down to management, putting the right people at the right place. perhaps Mercedes should contact Microsoft to lend them Microsoft dynamics to maximize potential of all the TDs that Ross has collected this year.

Is it really a prediction 10 days before? It's more like a tip-off. Though good work to him for not taking the Pitpass route of "we know everything about this and call you you it's definitely not going to Lotus"

we'll i'd predict like this ...

-merc has Monster, so coke won't go there
-Red BUll has ... well Red bull :drunk:
-Ferrari has one of the energy drinks associated with it (can't remember it's name)
-Mclaren has Lucozade (GSK)

so if coke wanted a race winning team , the only choice was between WilliamsF1 and Lotus F1, and i think if they had made the decision right after bercelona GP, then williams would've gotten it, but seeing how there car failed to score as much as it should've , They probably chose LotusF1 (i think bernie played a big part in who got what) and not to mention kimi's comeback has created so much hype, it's no wonder Coke chose LotusF1.

It was a big surprise given that this is a short summary of what he had to say four months earlier:

I have been covering motor racing for 29 years and I have heard the Coca-Cola rumours a hundred times. Coca-Cola is a global brand and does not need any exposure. Thus when it does a sponsorship deal it is looking for better ways to engage with fans, or to sell more drinks. They tend to go to sports because they are engaging. F1 is simply not the right place for them to be. It has a shonky image because of things like Germany and Bahrain. Not to mention the sporting scandals and the politics of the last 10 years. The sport is not inclusive of the fans. Silverstone’s disaster last week was an indication of this kind of thinking. These things will only change when there is a new generation in charge of the sport. In addition to that the management at Coca-Cola is exactly the same as it has been for some years, and I see no reason why they would suddenly have changed their minds. The only thing that might make sense is if Coca-Cola was to buy Monster, as was rumoured a few months ago (but denied by Coke). Monster would be a good fit in F1, in direct competition to Red Bull.

not yet. Details will be known during offseason and at the start of the new one (like for example IF it is titular sponsorship)

There were rumours a week ago that Lotus had signed a $32 million per year deal with a major American sponsor. I guess this is it.

Then I would expect that they will be their titular sponsor.
