I bet Ferrari haven't.

No, for real. They haven't. They wouldn't. Ever. No way.

edit: besides they really do not look official lol.

i think that too..... :(

Weather predictions even 2 hours before the race start are irrelevant due to the climate in brazil. We weren't expecting ANY q1 rain yesterday and it fell. As long as there are clouds in the sky, you can get rain.

My weather service predicted rain between 12.30 and 13.00.
For today it says drizzle.

I don't think they would, not after it backfired on them in 1998. :(

Will Buxton ‏@willbuxton

Sam Michael tells me rain predictions keep switching between 40% and 0% for 14:00. The cloudy sky tells me not to listen to predictions

The fact that you are getting advice from Sam Michael should be enough to ignore it.

I think people are making out the championship to be a lot closer than it actually is. The only way Alonso can win is if something happens to Vettel, and if Alonso actually manages to beat drivers in faster cars on merit.

So have Ferrari. It is not like the shirts can be made in a few minutes after the race.

Yes, Alonso only chance is a Vettel DNF, but if Vettel do have a DNF he has a very good chance to finish 3rd.

Something would have to happen to Webber or the McLarens also. Not impossible, but not expected.

It is expected, actually. The real world isn't modeled by identically distributed independent variables ;)

Alonso does not need to beat those faster cars on merit, they tend to do a great job of beating themselves with reliability and other problems. While on paper the two McLarens and Webber could lock out the podium in the case of a Vettel DNF, it is more likely than not that one of the three will not have a problem free race.

Pure bollocks. In cas smth happens to Vettel and if Alonso doesn't beat the other drivers on merit but because the other drivers crash/retire then he is still WDC.

If it is a dry race yes, but I completely expect a kers problem for Webber anyway. :p

Is that really the case? Haven't the McLarens and Red Bulls finished most races this season, despite the various mishaps?

I'm only pointing out the fact many are making this championship battle to be closer than it actually is when you look at the probabilities...

Hockenheim q3. Everyone else pitted for new inters. He kept his old ones and got pole.

OK, that was in quali. How about in a race, when was the last time Ferrari had a brilliant strategy call in a race?

Alonso finished on the podium most races since Barcelona. The only exceptions are:
- Canada (bad tyre strategy)
- Hungary (lack of pace)
- Spa (first lap accident)
- Suzuka (first lap accident)
And the reason why he is almost always on the podium even without having a car with top 2 pace is that at least one McLaren and/or Red Bull usually has problems, or Button and/or Webber are simply too slow in some races.

I wonder if that could give the race pace to the Red Bulls, because the more downforce is better in low grip conditions and thus less tyre wear.

They were just very good strategy wise overall this year. A possibly crucial one was coming in pretty early for full wets in Malaysia - that helped Fernando past Vettel.

No rain. That's disappointing. An even more difficult last race for Schumacher then. Still could rain though...

Di Resta looks strange, and Alonso and Räikkönen wears dark sunglasses when it's dark as an early evening.

Emerson Fittipaldi said 1.5 hours ago on the Brazilian TV that both drivers are very nervous.

The interesting thing is that he mentioned Alonso is extremely nervous, totally far from the calmness he has been delivering for the press.

During dinner yesterday Alonso expressed to his friends how nervous he is.

Right! I'm about as relaxed today as I was in 2007 because I just can't see it happening. It'd be great - no doubt - but I'm not going to be severely disappointed if it doesn't work out.

That said, I'll be cheering on Ferrari and Alonso until the fight is over.

If they were expecting a wet race, I'm sure both Vettel and Alonso were extremely nervous.

Things should be more straightforward now, though.

Massa creating a chain reaction which takes out Vet and Alo would be much more fun.

The forecasts have been rubbish it seems, so to an extent we can't trust them. So rain is still possible, but just going to enjoy this as you say.
