Here is a Rob North modified Featherbed with a 650 motor circa 1971. Might be of interest

A rugged looking thing, but a seemingly clever mod to lower the centre of gravity of an existing good handler. Do we know who raced it?

The bike belonged to my late brother, Fred Tremewan who worked in the Experimental Dept at Triumph until his death in 1971. He raced it a handful of times in 1970-71.
