FIA Bias..

In the interest of actually contributing something to the forum I'd like to discuss and hopefully show by the end of it that there is not actually any FIA bias towards or against any team, although possibly bias with the intent of manipulating the championship to be closer and therefore more entertaining etc.
I can't tell you how sick I am of reading posts with Ferrari International assistance or Red Bull flexi wing cheaters facilitated by FIA etc etc. In one page you can have 3 different contradictions So maybe we can put an end to it all now till we forget we talked about it anyway
Although in saying that I can understand why McLaren supporters may feel hard done by over the years. But I want to talk about CURRENT Fia (Todt era), not previous craziness.
Anyway, that's my opinion and to be honest there are users out there who know a lot more than I do about it, so please, educate us about it and discuss, in an unbiased manner (thought I'd throw that one in ) and maybe it will help others understand rather than dirtying up pages with comments that just make no sense sometimes!

They might pull some strings in order to make the show more spectacular and last longer.
Examples: new system points to help stop the Ferrari domination, harder testing parameters to stop flexi wing abuse @RBR, etc.
It's not against or in favour of a team, they just make sure the TV ratings are good.

The only bias from the FIA goes towards the show.

The FIA is the sanctioning body it doesn't care about TV ratings.
Formula One Management Limited ('FOM') is a wholly owned subsidiary of Formula One World Championship Limited ('FOWC') and acts as its agent and business manager and together with Formula One Licensing BV and Formula One Administration Limited, these companies form the Formula One group of companies ('Formula One Group'). That is the group who care about ratings

You have to be more clairvoyant of things, this is not a childrens game, it's serious business. Decisions are talked about and weighed at lenghts.
It's not just "following the rules", believe me, they know what they're doing.

Since Todt took the reins I'd say the FIA have acted fairly, but under Mosely the manipulation of the championship was rife.

A noble idea, but people that like to throw the FIA bias out there when something happens they dont like typically aren't the most reasonable people to begin with. You cant reason with unreasonable.Anyway, that's my opinion and to be honest there are users out there who know a lot more than I do about it, so please, educate us about it and discuss, in an unbiased manner (thought I'd throw that one in ;) ) and maybe it will help others understand rather than dirtying up pages with comments that just make no sense sometimes!
Personally, I dont think the FIA, even now, is beyond making decisions they think will even things out more. But I've noticed no clear bias. Anybody who thinks there is bias towards a certain team nowadays is going to have a hard time justifying that suspicion with all the various decisions that have gone for and against most all of the top teams the past few years.
