Photos just found

Just came across a bag of photos and the odd programme while looking for something else. The first pic is from around 1979 and would have been taken at a Newmarket or BFRC meeting. I think the rider was either Glen Warby of Jeff Webber. It is at the right hander at the Esses at Snetterton. Not taken by me but a friend who came with me and for the camera guys the photo has on the back 500th/s F11 400mm Yashica. The second photo is of a T shirt I made up as there was always a bit of banter about between tuners. Pic was taken at the 1982 Marlboro final at Silverstone.

1980 West Raynham
1980 Bombhole, Snetterton. Greg Page lent me his LC250 to try one out.
1981 Russells Snetterton From the front I think it's Malcolm Hearn, Paul Kerry, Stuart Moorhouse, Trevor ( Jim ) Clow and then me.
Me fiddling with somebodys bike. Someone may remember the colour scheme or the other guy in the picture.
1987 Cadwell long hairpin on the Club circuit. I'm at the front on a TZ125G and No.6 behind me on a 500 Honda is Clive Ling who currently races, with great success, Goldstars in Classic racing here and abroad.

On a more sombre note, Steve Learoyd was killed later that year at Brands.

I don't seem to have the programme for for this event Robin so I can't confirm Mark Astle. As regards Steve Learoyd I am sorry to hear that he was killed at Brands later in the year but at least he has been remembered on the forum. Many thanks for that.

Is the naked sidecar on the outside of Corums the one using a CBX1000 6 motor ? I seem to remember seeing some pictures of that outfit recently and it could well have been on this forum.

I think the guy was called Dave Bexley but it may not be him in the photo but the helmet looks familiar.

No dont think that is Dave either, he was racing at International level by then.
I thought Dave Bexley had some sort of 100 MPH lap record at Watton airfield circuit using a CBX powered sidecar and this photo was around the time Watton was being used and they were mainly club events. I wish I could remember where I have seen those other photos of a CBX sidecar as it is the helmet design of the driver that's familiar.

1987 The Bombhole, Snetterton on the TZ125G
Lovely shot of the little Yam. Was it really a "G"? Because I'm pretty sure that its a "H" seat?

The bike was a G but the seat may well have been fitted at some time as it had been well used when Dave Bowman first got it in 1985 I think. He then bought one of the first EMC 125's for the 1986 season and in 1987 offered me the G to ride. I converted it to reed valve using a bolt on valve box and TZ750 reed block. It would start if you breathed on it hence the picture of me first into the hairpin at Cadwell despite being way back down the grid. Top end was ok but the Honda's had me for speed but getting to the pointy end at the start makes a big difference. It was good enough for me to win a club championship that year.
