Which current F1 driver only and no one who's retired, do you think is the most stylish (whatever your definition of that is, be it
with their F1 driving and/or how sharply dressed they are, whenever they're off track and not racing) and please say why, for
anyone named.

Graham Hill... class, wit and the English debonair style all in one.

Cant say, because its so so much easier to spot *lack* of style (especially if you're a man).

Just spotted this news article while looking at something equally silly...
http://www.dailymail...d-premiere.html

Lewis Hamilton (who I am a fan of, lets be honest) has made 3 blunders, IMHO
1. The jacket is ok, but those vomit green stripes on it completely ruins any style.
2. The trouser legs are too long, but instead of having them taken up, he's just got a huge mega rumple thing going on.
and the big one...
3. Those shoes are NOT suitable for the occasion.

And might I say that the green Givenchy Jacket he often wears may indeed cost $2960, but it also looks like vomit.

So who give plusses to?
Paul Di Resta, for never wearing a baseball cap.

First reply. Amazing.

In terms of classy I would give the Suit Up Award to Button. Casually maybe Grosjean. His hair ...

Jenson Button- his demeanor, his way of dressing, his personality.

Although, as mentioned before, Graham Hill is the most stylish of all times. Even remembered well today.

Hamilton and Button lead the way amongst drivers on the current grid.

Its a movie, not a formal dinner. He seems ideally dressed for a night at the movies.

As for style leaders... I presume Britney would often by dressing up well?

I think it was 2006, I was waiting around behind the paddock after the British G.P to see the drivers and team personnel come out, mates went to watch the beach boys play or something, not my cup of tea. And Schumacher came out. After the usual middle aged men and larger woman stopped piling into him trying to get an autograph, I saw what he was wearing. It was an amazing shirt. It really was.

Lewis. In his spare time he dress like any lad of the same age. It gives him a sense of normality and keeps him grounded.

I saw Gro's wadrobe the other day being in traditional French style, which was quite impressive, and perhaps unmatched by many, altghou I must admit when I think of F1 their wardrobe and style is not a first thing on my mind, but, it's a season break, so... (Michael is ex-driver, thus thankfully I do not need to deal with it. :D )

At the FIA Awards Vettel was the only one to be correctly dressed. The Kimster looked - well, like Kimi in a Tux with a black shirt - Fred wore a black necktie and only Seb wore a bowtie and an especially well cut Tuxedo with really narrow lapels. Astonishingly, I was impressed.
Otherwise I agree that it is only Button who can compete with the style of sixties icons such as Graham Hill, Clark or Andretti.

Cant beleive no one has pointed out the most obvious one - the one who sets the bar so high that its almost a one man club.

Kimi , in case you are wondering. Only if he tried his hand at Hollywood - could be the next Leo :)

I just went through all the drivers in my head, and the only one who doesn't come across as truly terrible or completey anonymous is Kimi Räikkönen. He's not exactly a fashion icon, but his style is unique and quite good. Also Kovalainen isn't that bad. In general it's quite clear that while they are all massively talented drivers, their talent (or maybe just focus) in that area is quite a bit worse than average.

Stylish? seriously is the off season killing you so much that you have to come up with pap like this?

Ask me who's the best driver, overtaker, most aggressive, fastest, slowest, etc etc but stylish?

a: I don't care, and

b: theres only one answer here, Francois Cevert, the man oozed style, class and charm.

This is purely a matter of opinion but in mine its probably Jenson, he always looks pretty suave but more importantly he never looks like he's trying either. Alonso is pretty slick too.
