ian telfer has died.ian built a 250 norton and a 250 velo.which he rode and also entered many good riders on.later buying a manx norton which was also ridden by many riders.read,sheene,mortimer etc.funeral on jan10th at ruislip crematorium breakspear rd ruislip.at 12.45.

That's sad news, John. I think you said you rode for him at one stage?

i did indeed ,his 350 at brands ,i paddled it off instead of pushing and came second,he not best pleased.you could have won that says he.went in his car to aberdare,and read went to assen in it.most memorable as ian was reluctant to open the throttle,economy i think.! but not the way racers liked to travel.when he did some laps at silverstone on one of his nortons he showed a good turn of speed.his 250s were very well made but never seemed to quite have enough speed.That's sad news, John. I think you said you rode for him at one stage?
