I recognise a lot of the matchbox cars in that video and still have them in a box somewhere myself. :)

The name is fairly appropriate alright since I've been driving Kadetts both on and off the road for 20 years now and still have one as daily driver.

Theyre not homemade.

I posted this in a couple of forums that I use where I thought people might enjoy it. The response has been mostly positive. Part of the point of the video was that the initial dubbing was unsatisfactory hence the switch to home made sounds after the first minute. The dubbed video was the only copyright free video available to us at the time and we hadn't been in a position to record Group B cars ourselves, hence the fantasy video. The rally that inspired my interest in the sport was the 1986 Circuit of Ireland which I witnesses both live as a spectator and on television each night of the event. It featured the Group B cars and Group A cars mixed in. I think you may have noticed that we gave the Group A cars in the video a hard time, ie the AC Delco Astra cutting out and I hope we didn't cause offense crashing the Escort Cosworth as I notice you use one as your thumbnail. The quattro was our favourite.

Was that the year Michelle Mouton entered?
