Doesn't look like it. Business commitments are getting in the way.

Wot? No news..?

This was the first Autosport Show I’d been to, so I can’t compare it to previous editions. Lots of modern stuff, obviously, which doesn’t do a lot for me, but some of the technical developments in the way they manufacture things are fascinating. There was a reasonable selection of historic stuff, including a display of Jackie Stewart’s cars (two Tyrrells, MS80, P261, ‘Gold Bug’ Elan, Cooper Monaco, Stewart SF01 etc) and mouth watering displays from Hall & Hall and Classic Team Lotus.

The TNF gathering was small but select – me, Ted Walker, Richard (RTH) and Ralph (arttidesco), but while we were gathered at Ted’s stand first Simon Taylor and then Nigel Roebuck showed up. I’d not met Nigel before, so this was a great pleasure, as was earlier getting to shake Paddy Hopkirk’s hand.

It was a good event, but after about 4 and a half hours Ralph and I agreed we’d seen all we wanted to see, so we headed home. I didn’t take a camera, so no photos, but Ralph took oodles so he should be able to post a few.
