I am sorry to hear that Ted Pool - a BRDC member since 1947 - has passed away at the age of 90. He was wounded on D-Day when serving as a paratrooper, and postwar raced a Type 35 Bugatti, I believe a Hyper Lea-Francis, a Leonard-MG and also had an interest in ERA R11B before his wartime wounds caused him to settle in warmer climes in France. He returned to the UK in the 1980s and was an occasional visitor to Silverstone. Condolences to his widow Christabel, family and friends...

Maybe Stuart can correct the spelling in the thread's title.
I'm fairly sure it is Pool (without a final E) instead of Poole.

In another thread Richard Jenkins provided a link to the obituary by the BRDC.

Sorry - mea culpa.
