Man... this is the kind of cheap airbrush art you see in Greek restaurants here in the Netherlands. Really kitsch.

Vettel's helmet looks like how it does because it's copying the Red Bull Ring website.

Either that or he's gone through a puddle of flow-viz.  Not bad, it does stand out well on track.

The colours of the Brazilian flag complements the Monster logo.

I‘m not a religious man, but is it considered respectful to wear a helmet bearing a depiction of Christ with an advert for a brand of petrol on it?

God no, I‘m just curious. Even in the USA, perhaps the most thoroughly commercialised culture in the world, I‘ve never seen such a crass juxtaposition of religious imagery and a corporate logo, so I thought maybe there was some sort of taboo about it. Obviously not.

Seeing that Christianity got its big break when a Roman Emperor adopted it and, among other things, had his soldiers mark the cross on their shields - which was part of their standard equipment to go fighting in  .... I don't think religious folks will not have a problem with this one.

Christian symbols ........ been used for questionable moral purposes since 312 AD.

I like the helmet.  He is changing them a lot lately?  Good for him, I wish they all did it.  Adds a bubble of interest to each race to check out what Vettel comes up with - adding Hamilton in would be double the bubble.  :D

The fun thing first is religious imagery shouldn't exist by christianity.

So only the hypocrites or ignorant people about this knowlegde would care about it.

Sorry for the OT.

Well there isn't any Petronas on the statue so I don't see what the big deal is.

Is it meant to be the Christ statue from Rio? Not quite where Interlagos is...

Now if it were Jesus drinking a monster energy drink, that might be a little crass
