Looking to go to a Grand Prix very cheaply this year. Can get a 3 day 'free roaming' ticket for Barcelona for £91 at the moment.
The friday you have access to all the stands and the pitlane is open, so that would be great, but how good is the free roaming element? Worth going?

The generall admission is pretty decent there. There's plenty of good spots, campsa and turns 6-7. The pitlane walk is thursday afternoon, and is free to all ticket holders. If you do go, theres a shop in Montmelo that sells beer in plastic bottles, which you can take into the circuit with you.

Montmelo is one of the tracks where a stand ticket is definitely not required nor needed. The grass banks around the track are numerous and large and, given the economic woes in Spain, the huge decrease in spectator numbers means they're not even close to packed either. The race day crowd last year was 50,000 down on the peak Alonso/Renault tines of the mid 00's. Check out the stands on Friday and roam Saturday/Sunday,all for £91, is a no brainer in my book.
