I do not want to start a new thread, nor I would know where to post this, but does anyone knows who it is working on next year tire related specs? I mean not only basic technical info such as form, loads, geometry, but also that nonsense we are exposed to in current year in terms of rate of degradation, usable life span, etc.
A supplier wants contract, thus I assume there is something on the paper already. Who has reviewed this specs especially in light of current events, how many teams had input, etc. Does anyone knows?

Lets hope it's not the teams, as the likelyhood of any agreement before 2015 or later is highly unlikely :rotfl:

Timing is off to start creating a new tire specs. These should be in place already, and that's what concerns me, if the process was done in the same manner as with 2013 specs. Unless they are negotiating with a new supplier for a while who had input into it, the matter then had to be discussed with Pirelli, and that spells trouble. One can take this a step further and simply conclude, that Tribunal will not touch Pirelli (because that would mean divorce, and no tires), and they might not touch Mercedes either, because of IPO.

Tire-gate than will be explained as simple misunderstanding, and Pirelli saga will just continue down the road.

Contrary to some reports the Concorde agreement has not been signed,

The agreement reached by the FIA and the Formula 1 Group in July 2013, setting out the framework for implementation of the Concorde Agreement for the period 2013 - 2020, has now come into force, following the approval of the respective governing bodies of the signatory parties.

The various iterations of the Concorde Agreement have always been treated as commercially confidential by the teams, the FIA and (especially) Bernie E. However, the 1997 agreement was leaked - you can read it here: http://legacy.librar...9/Seni44a99.pdf
