Picture should be plastered all over Japan! Here is you son, mighty land, be proud! It looks really good, until you realize it is just a dream.

It really is such a nice sight to see him in a Ferrari F1 car. How convenient that rosso corso matches the rising sun so well :)

Excited to see if anything works out for him in F1 next year, Ferrari or otherwise.

I'd like to see him (an AF Corse) run in the United SportsCar Racing (still a stupid name) series next year. Both GT classes will have quality Ferrari seats, and both look to be incredibly deep in terms of at least cars numbers. You're right though. If this is more than a one year evaluation of him, or just a gap year for him trying to find another F1 seat, this GT chance is a big opportunity.

I'd like to see him (and PDR, Fisi,Luca and all) run in the WEC in works Ferrarri's against Audi, Toyota and Porsche? next year. THAT would bring the series back to life.

kinda sucks that the better team mate is fighting to get back to f1, while the other guy is making a fool of himself in a mclaren.

Just a little thought I had, but Toyota was his first home, and it turns out the F138 is being designed at Toyota's TMG. Maybe its nothing, but still an interesting circle.

Doesn't Kamui look fantastic in Ferrari overalls? Is it just me, or does he almost looks more experienced and refined in Ferrari red than he did in Sauber white?

Man Kobayashi in a Ferrari would be awesome, imagine if next year he was there and he won at Suzuka. That would be one of the best moments in recent F1 history.

Ferrari might put Kobayashi in the car should Massa be unfit for Canada

With Felipe Massa recovering from two huge shunts he suffered during the Monaco GP weekend, it is no surprise that Ferrari appear to be priming Kamui Kokayashi to step into the F138 cockpit in Canada should the need arise.

Not likely, he's confirmed for the 24h race at Le Mans but he has to do his 10 "rookie" laps on the Test Day which is on the same weekend as the Canadian GP, and the team for which he's running still has another driver to confirm, so at this kind of late notice... not likely to happen.

de la Rosa is Ferrari's reserve in any case, and has driven the 2013 car

Though unlikely, I guess he would prefer a F1 substitute drive for Ferrari instead of racing in Le Mans :p

ACO's rules are meant to be broken nowadays (unfortunately), they can always grant a "force majeure" waiver for Kobayashi for not turning up and still allow him to race...

Has there been anything official about doubts on Massa's fitness? Haven't read anything, so at the moment Massa will drive in Canada, (for sure :) )

Team boss Stefano Domenicali added that Massa's participation in the next Formula 1 race in Canada in a fortnight was not in doubt.

"Fortunately, despite the violence of the impact, he is fine and has already gone home and I believe that in the space of a few days he will back in perfect shape and ready to race in Montreal," said Domenicali.

Kamui has that sponsorship he generated from last year, and now has Ferrari backing.

Wouldn't it be great if one of the teams Ferrari supplies in 2014 *cough* Marussia *cought* gave him a go.

Difficult launch of the AsLMS indeed. Even so, the new Inje circuit looks breathtaking. Astonishing landscape. It's a shame there will be no live stream

Wow, just had a look around youtube for the Inje circuit, it looks amazing. Good to see a modern race track set amongst the mountains. Don't want to compare it so soon, but it looks miles better than the Korean track on the F1 calender.

He won the class of 1 car :)

Apparently after Le Mans Kobayashi was very displeased with the Balance of Performance lotteries GTE has nowadays...
