I have a free day in Cologne next week and wondered if there's anything in the city to go and see racing/car-wise?

I know Toyota Motorsport and Ford Motor Co are there but I'm thinking more about museums, book shops, models shops etc. I won't have my own transport so things need to be easily reachable in a day via public transport.

Thanks in advance!

It might be worth contacting Toyota Motorsport.

I sent them an email prior to visting Cologne about 15 years ago, and was rewarded with a guided tour of their rally workshops with an English speaking guide.
The site was easily accessible by bus, and they allowed me to take plenty of photos.
