I don't fully agree, it was ok but timing of stops were not good. Well second place is still good.

it was perfect imo. They always pitted when Raikkonen were starting to lose time

Today we lost critical seconds behind Massa and Vettel. We should have pitted when Massa did in first stops! Everything else was okay.

We should have either stopped earlier or stay out because others got stuck vehond Rosberg...all in all, we don't have the pace on hard tyres against ferrari, we have horrible last sector.

but then they would need to run over 17 laps on meds or over 20 on hards.

And they could do it but we just are not as fast as Ferrari and we used too many tyres on quali.

In that case we could have followed Alonso on four stop strategy. We elected 3 stops because we lost a lot of time in traffic.

Well I believe Lotus wouldn't move any faster with 4 pits.

Thanks to harder tyres, they fit Ferrari the best and we are not as fast with those. But at the moment Ferrari has the best race car a bit better than Lotus butvat least Lotus was better than Red Bull.

  My glass is always half full, from 4th to 2nd against very very strong Ferrari's is not a bad result by any standards, and as you say, another podium racked up and some very useful points.

Grosjeas problem in the car is worry as he said there was no hit, hopefully no repeat to that anymore.

Okay race. Got the maximum out of the package with Raikkonen.

Getting stuck behind Hamilton or anybody behind the race made no difference. Alonso/Ferrari was a wee-bit quicker. I actually think Kimi did well to beat Alonso in qualy. The stop-timings were absolutely spot on for the three-stop race.

4 pts behind Vettel in the championship.

Looked like a rear suspension problem.

Kimi said he is a bit dissapointed with second and said the tactic was a risky and maybe not the best possible.

well if someone would say that our top driver would have 1st, 6th, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd before the season kick in... i would take it right away. Now I'm quite disappointed tbh. 3rd 2nd in row. :S With ALonso instead of Gro in 2nd Lotus we would walk WDC and WCC

Yeah, they would not have gone any higher with 4 stops.

indeed. Well sad, but wasnt his fault. though we might need these pts in WCC. we are sure of top 3 in WCC anyway this year. Mercedes is a joke, McLaren doesnt count, same as FI. WIlliams and Sauber is not worth mentioning because probably atm we have more pts than they will have together at the end of the year.

Only opponents are Ferrari and RBR.

No he wouldn't have,he was no where near before the problem and the pace of the Ferrari was too quick, he would have fighted aginst red bull's but not against Felipe.

Massa would have been second hands down starting from his actual grid slot actually. They are the benchmark now, and by a good margin. But things change quick here.

If he was not hit, then how can that kind of physical damage be explained?

About the car: The Lotus is good, but needs to be even better in order to return to the top of the podium.

A good second was what was possible today, and again Räikkönen did the job. Huge shame about Grosjean 'cause that was a lot of constructors points lost.

Kimi did a great job, but Ferrari is just to fast right now. It is a shame that Grosjean had the failure. It seems like Lotus are always second best when Red Bull is doing well they are the fastest and Lotus are behind them, then on other tracks Ferrari is the fastest and Lotus is again behind them. Lotus will be dreadful at Monaco. But so far atleast Kimi is doing a great job.

Great points Kimi! Well done! Please put the voodoo doll away! Groshjean god damit! We dropped to 3rd at team points and RedBull got away little.

1. Red Bull Racing-Renault 131
2. Ferrari 117
3. Lotus-Renault 111

2weeks and we are at Monaco. Qualifying is everything. Hope Lotus have something special, last year was catastrofic!

2012 Monaco

2.Rosberg
3.Alonso
4.Vettel
5.Hamilton

Mark my words, Monaco will be a disaster. With bad qualifying pace we'll get stuck behind mercs and the rest. On race pace Ferraris are currently superior anyway.

I'm just tired of seeing the black cars fight through the field only to fall one short. A string of second places will not bring KR the WDC of 2013.

2nd place is decent, Alonso was mighty today.

I do wonder, however, whether going for the 4-stopper and dicing with the Ferraris would have been worth it today.

Kravitz on his notebook: "Raikkonens middle stint was absolutely fantastic and thats what won him that position, even if he's 4 stopped he was going to get 2nd"

He said they may do an analysis of it "later on"

I dont think Lotus in general was a disaster last year as RoGro was fast in the FP´s and qualifying. It was just Kimi that sucked big time last year in Monaco

Really pleased with the 2nd today...was the maximum possible to say the least.Well done KR and Lotus.

RG was unlucky..such a shame..wouldve scored major points today. We need both drivers on the scoreboard to get a shot at the WCC..

The race itself was a farce IMO..with tyres degrading like that,it was just awful to see people following deltas all race...and top it all off the degradation wasnt consistent at all...You couldnt predict it...It was Perez i think that was one the radio in the later half of the race actually asking his Engineer about his strategy/no of stops planned as he had idea what was going on.
