Peter Quayle has suggested a gathering at the old Lakeview Hillclimb, starting at 11am on Sunday 17 February, until about 2pm. Lakeview was run by the Canberra Sporting Car Club from the early 60s to early 80, and is about 10km out of Bungendore, heading towards Queanbeyan, up the hill on the left. There's off-highway parking at the top which is at the old finish line.
Helping Peter with this idea have been John Partridge and Dick Bates, who wondered how many of us usually stop there on the way past.
Everyone welcome, many memories to relive and retell. Strictly an informal gathering.
If you need Peter can be contacted at pqwheels@hotmail.com or 0409065852

I would love to have another look at the old Lakeview hill but its a long way from home for me these days and I will, in any event, be away overseas on 17 February. Please pass on my best regards to all who turn up, tell them I still have fond memories of some great events there and I hope the day goes well.

The tone of the neighbourhood has dropped too...

All those Canturf signs on the side of the road tend to have sexual connotations.

A lot depends on what that apostrophe is abbreviating, doesn't it Greg?

Surely you have better pics, Michael?
