Former F1 driver and the original Stig Perry McCarthy is giving a talk at:

The White Hart Inn
Inns Road
Moorwood Moor
DE55 7NU

Which is near Crich and Junction 28 of the M1.

Entrance is £5 and includes a buffet.

From 18.00, talk starts at 20.00 on Tuesday 5th February.

This is a regular monthly classic car meeting and the pub has just been renovated.

Perry was our speaker at my annual charity bash in Norfolk 2010
A very engaging and kind fellow.
Did not charge just asked to be able to sell a few of his books. He offered half to the charity which I turned down

He had 180 guests in stitches for an hour...constant repartee with audience guest Martin Donnelly which was fun

He trades on a 'cheeky chappy' rapport with the audience which was well received.

He makes his living as an after dinner speaker and it showed.

I did ask him not to use the f-word but that fell on deaf ears....................

None that I'm aware of, but as Hipperson says he is a professional after dinner speaker so there must be other opportunities.

This particular monthly classic car meet organises a talk during the winter when people are less inclined to bring cars.
During the summer it attracts a wide range of cars, pretty much something for everyone from pre-war to DeLoreans & RS200s.
It helps that the new landlord is a car enthusiast who has a Coombs Mark 2 & an XK.
