commences in 3 1/4 hours (12 CET):
http://www.sauberf1team.com/

Bit quiet on the Sauber front lately, but the ingredients are perhaps in place for another step up in performance. With a top shelf driver like Hulkenburg, this car could prove a regular podium contender...
Are we expecting anything interesting or just an evolution on last years' solid design?

I'd love to see something a bit less clunky and dour in the livery department, but I'm assuming it will be more of the same....

Sauber is one of the leading figure on technical innovation in 2012.

Can't wait to see their new challenger.

I wonder where they are streaming from... cause I couldn't see the McLaren or Lotus streams on youtube cause they were blocked for germany. I thought streams from other countries would be generally disabled for people here.... maybe streams from Switzerland and Austria are enabled for germany too, since they got the same television channels? I don't know x.x I sometimes don't understand youtube... but I'm really looking forward to the stream :)

That's weird, I've had no problems watching those streams from Poland.

yeah poland is not germany... the reason streams and videos from other countries are blocked here has to do with german law and stuff I dont really get it.... but hey the Sauber stream doesn't seem to be blocked for here

I just read the blocked video quota is 61,5% in Germany... closest to that is Southern Sudan with ~16%, even in the Vatikan and in Afghanistan less videos are blocked

just a bit of orange would do wonders with the livery, hopefully they got inspired by their new driver:

I had the same problem with the McLaren stream, i could not watch it from germany until i installed the "youtube unblocker" addon in firefox.
Simply open the addon section in firefox and search for youtube unblocker. Restart firefox and it should be fine!

Yeah I know I used a firefox plugin in the end, would just be nice if I wouldn't need to ... I just want to know who is at fault for that is it the GEMA as well? As I edited in above I just read 61,5% of the 1000 most watched youtube videos are blocked in germany it is at the top of blocked quote world wide I assume...

that is why I'm glad it isn't like that for the Sauber stream looking forward to seeing Hülkenberg again :D and their other driver

They need to get a new livery on this years motor, the post BMW liverys have been awful. Time to give the team a decent identity.

when you think sauber's livery can't be worse, they go on and prove you wrong... that grey colour is AWFUL. :(

I've always appreciated Sauber F1 team and Peter Sauber but I have to say that now I hate them a little because they kicked out Kobayashi for one rookie with money. ):

Not really.

One rookie with money is replacement for Perez. (to have continuity with Mexican sponsors)
Hulkenberg is the one who has "stolen" Kobayashi's seat.

About the car: I like it. At last they've got rid of this boring white livery.

I have to say that was nothing short of painful to watch, that presenter was absolutely terrible! I like the car, the livery is much better, I wish it was black instead of the graphite grey, a little disappointed, after last year I was expecting something....radical isn't the word, but more innovation, car looks very bland compared to what we have seen already.

Car looks nice and it has some interesting details. I like Sauber Team hope they will be sucessfull :)

It looks like McLaren's exhaust solution is a way to go. Sauber was the first team with tunnel exhaust last year but now they opted to use McLaren's coanda exhaust solution let's see what Red Bull is gonna do

Well, every team needs money. Sauber is dependent on Mexican money at the moment, they didn't really have a choice.

It certainly sucks for Kobash  , but I think to a certain extent the team were put in a bad spot. It's not as if they sold the seat to the highest bidder. Telmex were already an existing major sponsor and I expect their continued involvement required that their man be installed.
