NL: "I wouldn't want to say for sure, but my sources tell me it is clearly ze vork of that bulbous buffoon Herr Haug who, I am amazed to find out, still has login details for our website, and he is obviously in cahoots with ze ever-incompetent Mr Brawn. But zis is just my opinion. I wouldn't vish to upset anyone inside ze team."

Well, fair enough I guess. I'm just glad a racing team isn't wasting time an money by buying up bandwidth and hiring expensive web infrastructure. Probably should have talked to the people running the main Merc website though.

Its a car, just make sure it is fast ... there is no need for any more trimmings and PR fluff... leave that for Whitmarsh's Macca

To be fair to Mercedes #F1W04Reveal was trending third worldwide, the amount of traffic they're probably receiving is by their standards unprecedently huge.

This was an excuse a few years ago when companies had to pull such events off with their own shitty servers on 100 megabit connections, but today it just shows you don't keep up with technology and you have no clue about scalable cloud services you can rent for a busy day or week that Study was talking about.

So you think Sauber and Lotus spend more on web infrastructure than Mercedes, no. They thought up an over ambitious PR stunt which backfired.

That five-element FW looks crazy. And who would've thought they would go for front pull rod?

Yeah, I'm just saying we shouldn't care about that too much since that's not what they're supposed to be good at anyway.

Personally, I like it. They seem to have got more than they originally wished for. I can imagine the state of mind the IT staff is in atm :rotfl: I hope they get their act together soon, because they'll be mobbed if not.

No. They're keeping Schumacher as Hamilton's co-pilot.

Possibly we don't know what steps Mercedes has already taken, not to absolve them of any blame or fault, but their tweets did imply they were about to get a handle on the situation, they may have had an estimation which has been grossly exceeded.

Edit: Well, it was up for a second..

If lauda has anything to do with it, yes.

Theyre actually 20MM Oerlikon's. The Mclaren only has .303's!!

It was. There was hazy image of a driver in the cockpit, shot from above, and that was about it.

Down again now though.

Keep hitting F5 people. You may find it refreshing.;)
