Don't forget, while he was doing ALMS, he was still a Honda/Super Aguri test driver. He has stacks of experience.

It could well be a sign, but we also have to keep in mind that they may not be able to simply put other drivers in the car without a contract - so they picked their existing drivers.Odd news about Rossiter. Had a terrific run in ALMS a few years back with Andretti and disappeared. Name was mentioned with USF1, and a bit surprised he was still on the F1 radar. I think the lack of Sutil or any name not Bianchi testing this weekend is probably a sign.
However, a test day for Bianchi probably still works in his favour if they really haven't decided yet (assuming that Bianchi is still a candidate).

I would say that RBR will lead followed by Lotus and McLaren. Sauber on par with Mercedes, Ferrari being behind due to time lost cause of focus on 2012 end.

so we saw best teams cars already, any pretesting, only based on the looks I believe, standings?

Is there a timing site operating again this year? I seem to remember we had a very good one last year showing the live lap times each day. Not that it tells too much of course but it's good to waste away the day on ;)

Found this thread on another site (can't recall which one now, sorry to anyone I've borrowed from) - Will just peel away everything but the links and some descriptions ...
- I know one for sure: http://f1.f-e-n.net - local, but very popular Bulgarian site. Requires registration, very clean and informative.
- Next we usually have http://www.williamsf1.com/test-timings
- Apart from http://www.f1-direct.fr, there was a Greek site, but can't recall the domain
- Williams website does not provide lap by lap live timing. They only showed the latest lap time.
- (Defunct 2012 site - but maybe they'll come back?) http://f1tests.co.cc/2012.php Main (old) link: http://f1tests.co.cc
- The Greek site was http://www.msfree.gr/f1
- Pictures will hopefully appear at http://f1zoom.fx1.nl/

New marussia
Looks very slow........
LOL. Hero.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to fathom that the car will probably be slow (They are hardly likely to find 3 seconds over the winter with thier resources) but to say it 'looks' slow is slightly cretinous.

I don't think so.but to say it 'looks' slow is slightly cretinous.
Why I agree that "evaluating" speed of the car just by the look of it doesn't make much sense. But well... in this case Marussia really looks like an outdated car. Too little sophisticated in sidepods/rear end area. It would be very surprising if this turns out to be anything more competitive. Caterham looks better in this case IMO.
