With the Mercedes only completing 11 laps today, how will this effect Lewis tomorrow?

A lot of set up work will have been lost and considering Lewis can't compare the W03 wont some of tomorrow evaluations be useless?

He won't care how the W03 went all he will care about is getting the W04 sorted. He has more than enough experience in F1 to do that.

In the long run, this changes nothing. Unless the car stops tomorrow too :cat:

Yep, way too early to start biting your nails. Remember Lotus having to pack up and go home last year in testing, and they came to Melbourne and qualified third...

Lotus year ago lost whole Barcelona test (which one is more important factor) and it qualified 3rd in melbourne and grabbed numerous podiums and even a win.

He will just have to do some of the basic tests and programs they would have otherwise completed today I would assume.

Hopefully the problem is properly fixed for tomorrow - its pretty much a non-issue at this stage.

I hope just hope Lewis wakes up confidently and has a hearty breakfast. A hearty breakfast could be the key to this season.

Although I think personally 4 eggs is too much. How many eggs do you guys think Lewis should eat?

Also, grapefruit juice. What's up with that, Lewis?

I think they may give him more laps to do. Get more data. I presume they have a lap limit they set, much like in baseball, pitchers have a set throw limit. I think they might double up since they missed an entire day today.

Maybe they could use the tyres tomorrow to catch up or do extra laps on thursday or friday.

Who's to say the car will be running tomorrow either? How will them apples affect Rosberg?

The car should be fine to go tomorrow.

If not then they will have to triple down on rosberg.

So perhaps 120 laps on thurs and 130 on Friday.

Things will be fine. Unless you are here to just raise heck, then it's doomed.

Jup, and Merc started at the front. We all know what happened during the season.
It is 15+11 laps more in the new car than they did last year when they were testing the old car first.

I've said it before, it's the Honda (not BAR) DNA catching up with the Brawn miracle. Hamilton is screwed.
It's almost like Schumacher joining Ferrari in 1996, but with the clock going backwards towards the early 90s!

At this point the whole team should just resort to eating at the IHOP.
