Fantasy track competition

Like the livery competition, have a track voting competition.
Anything goes, but keep it realistic. Your track should have a start/finish, pitlane and should be long enough to be a F1 track (no kart tracks ;p). Also, make it clear which direction your track goes.
There's no template, upload in whatever way you like. Pencil lines on paper are fine, so is a photoshop.
For inspiration, see here;
https://www.facebook...4...1500&type=3
Voting will start the 8th of March and end the 15th of March.
Any questions?

May be a tad too big, the circuit length was an estimate.

Imagine a fair amount of elevation change. T5 is at the bottom of a hill. T6 at the top and going over a crest into a downhill T7. T10-11 is an uphill section and T12-13 is something like the Corkscrew.

Circuit of the Mongoose
4.0 miles long according to my route planner,
Best sections would be:
Graham Hill Way
The quick run from Elsea Park to the Abbey Esses (bit like Masta)
The quick twisty section at West Kink
Look out for the Raymond Mays memorial at the exit of Abbey.
Temporary Grandstands in white, Pitlane in blue, Earth banks for spectating on Graham Hill Way and trackside throughout town. Adequate parking as you can see, although I can also get 3 cars on my drive if required...;)

Here's my track erm... Circuit Les.
It will have a very long Fuji style front straight leading into a banked turn one which pretty much rips off Tarzan at Zandvort. It has some Suzuka/Austin style esses, a couple of fast sweeping corners a bit like pre-94 Lezmos at Monza and a couple of long fast corners a bit like those at Osterreichring. I would have liked to have shown some elevation but I'm not good at doing that! Hopefully you won't think its too rubbish.

Here's my work in progress, probably more suited to a 250F than anything current but hey, it works in my head... you can 'drive' the circuit on google street view if the need takes you, just go to BRM's home town and you'll soon pick it up!

Nice circuit. Looks quite dangerous, having a section called "Cemetary" may come in handy.

the new competition to the fame of 'Curva parabolica' is the 'Curvy Ass', pundits are battling over which is more roundy.
P.S by any chance, was Taki inoue was one of the advisors in designing the track???

Having driven the circuit again today, the Cemetary to Abbey section may be removed to make way for a route that runs by the old BRM works which is wider than the previous circuit, which also features an awesome esses section... decisions decisons however, I can post photos of f1 cars running through that bit which would be quite cool...

Turn 6, known as 'The Nipple' will need a decent run-off!
Haven´t decided yet if it´s going to be clockwise or counter-clockwise. Either way, the Nipple is always tricky...
And there are discussions still going on about the approach to it (if it turns out to be counterclockwise). Some advisors think the straight should be shorter and the curve longer but in the end it´s only a matter of personal taste.

If it's clockwise, the turn two further along looks liable to be greasy in certain conditions...
It's definitely a circuit full of pitfalls...

Well it's supposed to be the character "shang" I think, which is just an upside down T combined with an F. The hai part would make a new Monaco it's so complicated.

I see what you mean but its on a larger scale than Jerez, longer straight (probably as long as at Fuji) so it should be faster!
To be fair I thought that the top right loop looked like Homer Simpsons head after I drew it. Maybe it should be called the ET in a bath-Ring?

A track I located on the shores of the Tyrrenian Sea, in a place called Bibbona (Tuscany).
This last track, however, appeared in racing games (GTR2, GTL, Race) after I drew it and a trackmaker put it in the virtual world

Footage of f1 cars running the straight section to 'Bus Stop' corner
Click to see JYS in action through the streets of Bourne This section is on my alteranate faster route which I'll post when I have chance...
1min 3sec onwards showing alternate route S bend after the former BRM factory, taken left to right into the Grandstand section with JYS above
Thanks to the youtube account holders for these, I haven't put my personal videos online yet...

A track I drew today... a bit old style but with modern safety measures (large runoffs). The two sweeping corners on the top should be exciting
Why does Depailler get two corners? Also, I think Dan should get a left hander.
Great names on your other track.

Indeed I like it but I agree Wheldon should be a left hander, perhaps Bellof and Wheldon could be swapped. Also one of the Depailler corners could be named De Angelis instead perhaps?

On the premises currently resides a boring formation of rocks. These will be ground down into a fine dust for an exciting flat plane of sand.
On top of this exciting sandy plane a flat slab of concrete will be cast. The latest in laser measuring technology will be used to ensure no elevation remains in this foundation for the track.
On the concrete slab, aka car park, a circuit will be drawn. Initially the plan was for the drivers to pile clothes, backpacks etc. to mark the edges of the circuit but that would be ridiculous.
A road leads to the circuit. Actors will wait along the route and pretend to rob visitors at random for that authentic 3rd world feel.
As a finishing touch a giant disco ball atop the grandstand gives the circuit its unique character.
And here it is, the Grand Canyon GP:
