I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so if the mods dont like it here, please feel free to move it to where you think appropriate.

On my recent trip to South America I spotted this track on the road from El Calafate airport to the town, does anyone know anything about it?

Then when we arrived in town there was a two week festival celebrating the 136 Anniversary of El Calafate.
There were all kinds of activities going on, but this caught my eye.

I wonder how the BBC would have coped with the Sara Kay Sex Shop way back when?

Yep thats the one, Thanks Geoff, I did try googling it, but all I got was hotels.
We think Oulton Park is scenic, but that place had the foothills of the Andes as a backdrop, like this.
BTW the tracks shots were taken through the window of a moving bus.

Do a Google search for "autódromo de El Calafate". You will find some history and photos. I clicked on "translate this page" where it appeared. Looks like they have just started racing there.

I found this Paul. It's a July 2011 news item previewing a meeting planned for November that year. The photo caption suggests that the last meeting prior to that had been back in February 2008.
