It is reported that Lady Virginia Williams, the wife of Sir Frank Williams, has passed away after a battle with cancer. She was a very special lady, always supportive of Sir Frank, and well-known and liked in F1 circles.

Sincere condolences to all the Williams family.

It's a sad day for Sir Frank Williams and his family. Ginny did help Sir Frank Williams out a lot and it's even more upsetting to see someone else lose out to cancer.

When her book came out in the 1980's, my mum wrote to her via the team asking if she bought it and posted a copy to her, would she sign it for me?

A few days later, a copy signed and with nice comments arrived through the post for free. I grew up loving the Williams team and when I read the news an hour or so ago, felt quite upset.

Sincere Condolences to the Williams family and the team.

Tim

RIP Lady Williams.

Who knows whether Williams will ever be a championship contender again, but this has to blow to Sir Frank personally.
