He was Indy-500-entrant. Has anyone more details about him?

why posting if you just want to bash?
Wikipedia = nothing
Google = no important details
So do not read my threads if you have a problem with that

You must have a different Wikipedia from mine, which has 10 pages of references (admittedly not all of value)

Better still, stop using Google and try one of the many other search engines - the more you try, the more you will find, as I keep saying...

Is this a friendly place for enthusiast to discuss motor sports? Does the fact that information may reside in some other data base mean it is off limits here?

Why would it be off limits, Ron?
All I am saying is that I regularly find more (and often different) information by using different search engines. This also extends to pictures. Simply typing in relatively "odd" things can provide some great finds. As an example, the other day I found a terrific picture of a twin-winged Lotus 49 that I hadn't realised had been run in such a configuration.
