At a similar age, I was on a trike...
But later in life I appreciated the value of steering control and feedback through the soles of your feet....

Ohhhh dear Grigor! a cutting remark! the billy kart was probably better bolted together than the Mini rack loose combination of rack and pinion, belleville washers, splines, clamps, pinch bolt or whatever that "bit me"
