Here is a great video of Jeff Gordon disguised as a car buyer who takes an unsuspecting car salesman on the RIDE FROM HELL!

This video has just gone viral. Enjoy.

It should be noted it's totally fake. Jeff wasn't driving the guy's an actor etc.

It's quite obvious that the setup is fake.

1. It's a commercial.
2. There's no 09 model of Camaro.
3. Random cupholder for camera to be put
4. Disclaimer saying that it's a closed course.
5. The "salesman's" reactions.

Aye. Either way it's as good marketing campaign by Pepsi considering it's gone viral due to people not realising it's fake.

Whatever happened to letting people just enjoy anything on the Internet anymore. Of course it's fake. *SPOILERS* EVERY find of viral video/commercial is.
Just on logistics I guarantee there's two months of planning, scouting, casting etc, and there'd be 40-50 crew working on location.
Shooting alone would take 5 or 6 hours, many many takes.

It's a fun video. So enjoy it and have a laugh people. And don't let the smarmy f***s like Jalopnik take away from it by feeling the need to analyse it to death.

FYI Ken Block is the Easter Bunny.

I still think its quite good actually, and a bit of a laugh.

Who doesnt enjoy seeing a car getting driven hard?

My point still stands - surely no one who saw that considered it to be a non staged event?

"every single person in the video was an actor"

Well done jalopnik, you've busted film & tv wide open.

I'll be honest ... they had me for about the first 20 seconds or so of the drive ... then they went up the ramp ... but it was still fun ....... its even fun to rewatch and spot all the fakeness .... its a great vid - wouldnt make me buy pepsi though.... I want one of those cars!!

BTW ... no one should ever be prevented from breeding .... even in jest, that is a very dangerous concept ... and its always ended really badly anytime the folks in charge try to implement it.

The salesman is clearly an actor, and not a very good one.

I don't what is more tragic, that people thought it was anything other than a setup advert or that Jalopnick went to those lengths to tell everyone that is was so.

Just enjoy it at face-value. It's fun!

Here's Jamie Whitham and Yamaha doing a similar thing many moons ago.

I seem to remember that the salesman was a friend of his.

Yeah that's obviously fake but it's designed to be over the top. He's not really doing 140+ on the motor way for a start, and you wouldn't open your mouth if you were...

Shame it's staged.

I wonder how hard would he get sued if it was real :) It's the USA, don't forget about it.

Well, Jalopnik's position is obviously that the video is viral so writing about it is going to get hits for them. Simple as that.
