I was informed that somehow, I was chosen to create this week's thread. What the Hell is going on here? I don't remember agreeing to this.

Do they spent their entire budget on wrap?

Forecast scattered showers throughout the weekend, but I think we'll be alright. Brad Keselowski has been the guy to beat the last couple of races here, but Hamlin won the last one. Expect the Deuce to get his first win of the season here. At for Nationwide, it's tough because the Sprint Cup guys know how to make a stinker of NW races, but hopefully one of the regulars can show them up, like forum-favorite Sam Hornish did last week.

Let's have a great weekend!

Good job Dilla with the honors...

Should be a good race, looking forward to it. Not sure what to expect with the new groove that was supposed to slow the drivers down that actually made them faster, haha.

Bowyer/15 is running in NAPA colors this weekend. I don't think they're changing Truex/56 so it should be fun trying to tell them apart...

Under/Over on commentator screw-ups vis a vis Team NAPA?

Kahne is in the Great Clips Nationwide paintjob, but in Cup. I think it's my favourite livery of the year, including the ones that haven't been raced yet.

Nationwide final practice on now. Piquet held the fastest consecutive 10-lap average in Prac 1.
He also won here in K&N E remember. Go Piquet!

Napier-Aukland-Sydney-LA-London-Milan
53.5 hrs.

J.J. Yeley on the philosophy of going fast

"Well here at Bristol you want to go fast. So I'm just trying to go fast and make my car go fast and so far I'm pretty fast."

Makes sense.

 ;)

Crew chief Tony Gibson has stepped forward to take the blame for Danica's poor performance today.
For those keeping score at home, this is the third time in three weekends he has felt the need to make such comments.

Today it was one of those pesky RF springs. Luckily there are more components than races.

I like Gibson but I'd respect him more if he just said she's a rookie with a tad over a year of stock car racing experience in her life and it'll take time. Nothing wrong with stating the truth.

Could be an interesting race. They regrooved the track last year going back to the old Bristol where you couldn't pass. Well you could, but it required either a really great car or the use of the bumper (mostly this). Now we have a new car that drivers have said doesn't pass all that well. So a track that's difficult to pass + a car that's difficult to pass = lots of caution flags? We'll see

Jamie Mac's Cessna-liveried Chevy forgot some pre-flight checks it seems.

No-one attached the hood pins in practice and lo, the hood flew up onto the windshield.
Thankfully Cessna branding was on the underside of the hood too. Didn't the same happen to Montoya when he has underside sponsorship....?

I don't know why they can't get the cameras they use in motogp. At the very least, since they have the position of the car on the track via gps, can't they program the lean of the camera based on the position of the car on the track.

So much for 2:15 start. Not placing any wagers today, but hard to look past the Cup guys for the win.
Of the regulars, I expect Austin Dillon to place highest. John Wes Townley will ruin three drivers day.
