Alonso being faster than Massa is not a Dogma.

If Alonso is really faster, why does he needs Ferrari team order favours in every race ? Indeed, it makes Alonso artificially faster than Massa.

Ferrari management must keep their mind open and if Massa is faster, they must prioritize him.

So you're basically saying that Ferrari management are now making the race strategy decisions, above both sides of the garage? So much so, that Massa's strategy actually cost them not only points but gave points to their rivals?

In the old days, helping the favored driver normally just meant moving over a place and then playing a rear gunner. It worked superbly for schumacher and Massa was up there on the podium with him. This new way of doing things is bizarre.

Massa was no.1 in the team in 2008 when he was in title contention. The 'its in his contract' stuff is nonsense.

I see you're knocking somebody else's experience watching the sport, but I tend to think its far worse if you HAVE watched a lot and haven't really managed to learn much in the process.;)

I'm at the Kart track most weekends. However ,I've watched enough F1 on the club house screen to recognize that F1 teams often take *gambles* with strategy.
Here we they learnt their trade, there is hardly anything between the likes of Massa, Alonso and Hamilton in the short sprint races with new engines and tyres evry race.
F1 is about trying to utterly dominate the competion, a lot of gambles are taken in the process, mostly due to the artificial nature of the modern rules.

You definitely sound like an F1 veteran with that sort of revelation.

'Speng' is patiently waiting to see how Ferrari management are going to instruct the 2 sides of Ferrari's garage to help Alonso and other teams to the detriment of Massa. I I told him not to bother and you have a pop at me?
Yes the thread's a joke. It's an Alonso haters exercise yard.

I'll take back the dig about experience in watching races. All viewers need to do is pay attention and realize the complexity of race strategy and the constant changing of the conditions and track surface would make the conspiracies difficult.

How come nobody suggests Massa was favored in qualifying this morning?

Massa favored interest nobody. They just wait for the race, and if alonso overtake massa at the start for example, they will found something again " hey we have listen to his radio that they told Massa to save fuel, and start with the second gear ! Ferrari did it again, poor Massa :( "

I wonder how this thread have so much pages really.

"We are not afraid of what is coming from the sky. Whatever arrives we will take it and be competitive."

Great spirit by Massa.

btw, the team that 'screwed him over' built him a new chassis in a week this time last year when he said there was something wrong with his. I don't think there was any problem in the end.

What? No more posts in this thread?
I wonder if a couple of teams screwed some of their drivers today or something. Hipocresy anyone?

In a strange way, I am kind of glad that it was Alonso's wing and not Massa's wing that broke. I can see many threads already of Ferrari purposly leaving Massa out so he would be out of the race and out of the way for Fernando.

If the team didn't screw him in Australia, he would be leading the championship with Vettel.

Good posts guys.
At last there is no conspiracy to argue about. Massa got new tyres in qually, swerved towards Alonso at the start and it seems Alonso was on the end of a bad GAMBLE this time.

Thats not to say they wont pull Massa over 1 place if Alonso is stuck behind him in the future like they did with schumacher.

And how much better would Ferrari be off if they just got the strategies and made sensible gambles with BOTH drivers? They must not want to win the WCC according to some.

Just finished watching the race and logged right on to here, expecting to see two busy new threads entitled "Was Rosberg/Webber screwed by Mercedes/RB already??" but I cannot find them! Imagine my surprise to find only this Ferrari bashing thread slowly disappearing down the order.

So, in the Malaysian GP we had two teams (who's cars are not red) openly and blatantly wielding team orders for all to see. Meanwhile, the team with the red cars are clearly allowing their drivers to race each other freely - both strategically and on-track - yet, I see nothing remotely comparable to this thread regarding those other teams. Why is that?

So, where are the legions of holier-than-thou protestors of team orders, those paragons of sporting virtue who pontificated to the tune of 15 venomous pages of anti-Ferrari vitriol in this thread last week?

*crickets*
