Looks like Frijns is closer to the pace now we're back in Europe.

Yes, having already tested there certainly helps.

It seems DAMS drivers will join the fight this weekend. Good.

Nasr looking good IMO, super fast in FP and a decent qualy session. Think my money is going on him for the win based on what we've seen so far.

Did Calado have any problem or he was saving tyres? He was the only one to do one attempt only.

Think the blame lies with James there - very costly as that will impact badly on tomorrow's race as well. Nightmare season so far really for him, every mistake seems to ruin 2 or 3 races.

That was crazy on the pit straight by Canamasas and Rosenzweig.

How on earth did everyone not crash together in that corner prior to the chicane? :drunk: Great driving to avoid that!

Frijns now effectively up to 2nd! ( ) - Coletti and Nasr the big losers out of the pit strategy shake-up.

Oh dear, Ericsson out, think that's very harsh, lost win there he really needed that. But Frijns on course to win!

Contact with Leimer on the run into T1 on the 1st lap (probably his fault to be honest) damage and game over.

Same here! Need some replays later.

Entertaining race from what I've seen, I have absoutely no idea what Canamasas (I hope that's right I'm rubbish at remembering them all) was doing. It's typical GP2 boys in action really.

Errr, Cecotto is P1 (hasn't pitted) but is 20 seconds up the road and going quicker than the gaggle behind Frijns, he could win this.

Goodbye to Calados and Ericcsons chances at the championship.

Great to see Frijns up there! What a talent!

Canamasas didn't do anything wrong for once. he was forced off track by rozenzweig in the same way as schumi on Barichello, and then Berthon rearended him the same way as Guiterez on Sutil.

I'll need to watch it again, but I may well of mixed the names up anyway. Bloody foreign paydrivers with foreign names

Time for a game of GP2 crash bingo and i think everyone's numbers are about to come up. Expecting carnage in 3-2-1...

I like Buxton but I wish he'd stop calling it Sam Bird Corner, it's NEVER going to happen.

Great comeback race by Nasr, after that disastrous pit strategy. Now up to 3rd, very nicely done.

It was inevitable! Nasr hit Palmer which allowed Bird to catch up, then drove rather erratically sticking Bird in the dirt.

Great move by Dillman there, glad he's almost on the podium. I've had my eye on him since I saw him drive last year.

Think Nasr was very lucky not to crash out with that move on Palmer, just like he was at the start with the move on Richelmi (?) - but anyway, having survived that, great race up to 2nd.

Robin Frijns is a class act! One weekend and minimal testing and he's sussed out the Pirelli's after a whole career on Michelins. Stunning driver, now he's dropping Nasr. :stoned:

Monisha Kaltenborn rather quick to congratulate Frijns win there, perhaps sending a rather overt message to Gutierrez to get his act together. Good win by him after his first weekend here, congrats. Nasr took advantage of his pit strategy today and cleanly overtook on the last few laps before he hit Palmer, might warrant an investigation. Good for Palmer to stay on the podium, but he too had some questionable tactics with Bird - although I was impressed by him taking advantage of Bird's rather suicidal move earlier.

Just a shame Dillman's final move didn't pay off and he lost all those places. :well:

If anything he got screwed over in the pit stops, he did a great job of looking after his tyres, he was P3 before the stops and about P10 after them!

Since bird broke Ericssons suspension, I'd like to call that "karma".

It makes for great entertainment, but sometimes the speed difference on different tyres makes accidents pretty inevitable. Ericsson was blocked by a car that hadn't pitted.
