F1 Live Timing woes

I recently purchased the 30 euro official LT app and it looks like we will be getting the same frequent outages.
The data source is the same by I don;t care about that.
I feel that FOM is showing a huge disdain disdain to fans with such a crappy service. It really pisses me off.
FOM seems mostly concerned with filling CVCs pockets, instead of investing in LT.
Shoudn't we start a petition? Let outselves be heard as paying consumers?

On TV we spent the whole FP with useless static fastest times taking up 20% of the screen and now at the end of the sessions what do we have? The fastest single lap of each driver. No stint data, no tyre data, none of the data that the teams are using.
Kruvas gives us so much more in Winter testing and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
It just nails Bernie as a market trader who got lucky, afaic. Roll on the day someone with a brain takes over.

I get the feeling it's all just Bernie's evil plan to get us buy the softpauer app. The desktop livetiming has been around for...10 years? And imo it hasnt changed at all. And still after all these years it doesnt seem to work half the time. It's the same problems year after year. The mobile app is apparently quite good, but because softpauer have an exclusive deal with fom, they get to control on which platforms the app is offered.

I have a stupid question, I watch F1 to 99% at home and livetiming on my laptop and/or desktop computer. Why is this Pauer app not for a normal computer??? Why do I have to use my mobile phone, I m not at the track or not in the bus or in the bar(maybe it would be useful there).
What is this?
Standard livetiming is very basic even when it run prperly.

Now be a good boy and sit down while enjoying your free live timing when it works.

billions involved yet they cant create web application that will be as good as some private sites... insane.
But they are damn quick in getting those sites closed down. If I were in their shoes I'd be making those guys an offer.

Isn't it running on 1.6? If so it isn't old at all.
I didn't say what you were running - Live timing keeps wanting to download old versions, so I deduce that it is set up for an older version than current - Last weekend Java downloaded an update and Live Timing resembled the wall of Tutenkamun's tomb; I had to uninstall the new version to get LT to run.

The F1 live timing service has deteriorated considerably the last couple of years with frequent outages.
I recently purchased the 30 euro official LT app and it looks like we will be getting the same frequent outages.

Watching an F1 race without decent timing is not much fun. I bought the Soft Paue app on impulse as the web version was playing up.If you want to be heard dont spend any more money on their products.

Couldn't agree more.
Live Timing and formula1.com haven't improved much since the early 2000s.
F1 in general is sometimes surprisingly ******** regarding application of technology.

one of the best pieces of info you get is where it not only tells you which set of tyres a driver is on but how many laps that set of tyres has on it already from practice and quali, then you also get more accurate timing to 3 decimal places and top speeds at each timing sector as well
if you average out the cost over the season it's really not that much for all the info you get
