A real man's car. Not the dull, lifeless, eyesores of today.

Best sounding car ever. It just sounds like a demon screaming his lungs out. Miss it.

Having listened to the Matra and the Auto Union clips within the thread, I just can't understand what make people go beserk about that hysterical screaming devises of the past 20 or so years.
I liked the turbocharged V6's of the years '81-88 the best of all soundwise.
And with the cockpits so far in front of the car they were dangeroud for their drivers too but the mid 80s cars somehow look far more in balance to me the current highnosed contraptions with a 1 meter wide bookshank between the rear wheels.
I wonder how much longer a current F1 car is compared with the, for example: 1982 Ferrari 126C2: Cars with about similar fuel tank capacity but somehow the 126C2 looks compact and a current car like a never ending "something".

Wings are for chumps.
Car isn't so beautiful, but it looks like a beast.
Nice sound.

Awesome engine, but this still remains my favourite sound;
