I think it is Grand Prix racing and people are just belly aching.

We go back to the 50's and 60's where younger drivers didn't want to pass faster drivers out of respect, and we think highly of these actions. Teams dictated orders like this, drivers had to hand their cars over to higher ranking team drivers. Championships have been settled by all these types of actions. This was the 'golden age'. Ken wanted Jackie to give Francois the '73 USGP win should the opportunity had been there, in his last race no less!

Short memory, no memory...this is Grand Prix racing. Don't like it, watch other racing forms that don't have team orders, but don't expect a sport to change because you don't like a long held aspect...IMO..

Team orders like this spoil the racing. Mark should've won and Rosberg should've finished 3rd.

I'm not saying team orders are okay, but it's pretty unfair when the team tells both drivers to conserve and hold and one driver does and loses because of the other driver ignores the order. They should've both been allowed to drive flat out, but the tires these days are made of chewing gum so that's not possible either.

Lewis shouldn't have let Rosberg go, but Nico should've been given the green light to pass him if he could.

Mark and Seb should've been told to race it out to the end also.

We need some tires that allow the drivers to push and we need cars that don't drive 10 seconds off the pace full of fuel. Bring back refuelling, bring back some durable tires, and let the drivers race.

Though I'm an F1 fan, today NASCAR and Indy were far more satisfying to watch. F1 was at it's worst today with the orchestrated racing it produced. NASCAR had me screaming up until the final corner. Indy is still a few reasonably talented drivers, a pack of mediocrity behind them, but at least the race wasn't orchestrated. Helio chased Hinch to the stripe and those drivers EARNED their positions today. de Silvestro fought tooth and nail on crappy tires to try and hold off a charging pack behind her. It was excellent to watch.

your always going to have team orders in multicar teams, it happens less in nascar and irl because of different sponsors on the cars i think, and the culture is different.

I find it easier to accept a hold station order vs a move over order (apart from different stratagy etc)

@Risil: the teams points may be the same independent of their two driver's order, but there are other factors like relationships with sponsors, driver managers or even driver sponsors.

The incoming money can change. The victory bonus money will be different.

It's not only about saving the cars for the rest of the season and counting WCC standings. If it were there would not be so much noise being made today, now would there?

It's about the drivers' futures and the budgets of the teams.

And to answer the question, i guess it is racing at the moment, crap racing.

get rid of the crap tyres, bring refueling back and let them ring the neck out of the cars every single lap.

I generally like to accept what the drivers want as good for the sport. So give them better tyres and make it so that a hold order is registered at fia by the team when issued, no Vettel tricks allowed. That's F1 racing with two car teams!
