Not surprising to hear anti-Alonso comments from Heikki Kulta, that guy has his head so far up Raikkonen's butt you can barely see his toes.

I can't believe there is still people who believe Santander runs Ferrari.

Errr where is the anti-Alonso comment?

I do like how this thread completely died once you posted this :)

That´s how it should end really: Alonso rectifying his (verbal) error. His initial comments putting blame on Vettel were nonsense, in the line of last year´s "I don´t know what his plan was for the first corner". Kudos to him, let´s hope next time he judges it properly and is brave enough to admit it straight away.

Not in the eyes of ordinary people like you or me. You have to understand though, that a few assorted people got extra sensors to detect blame flying Vettels way, and we simply have to trust their judgement on these 'issues'.

Others heard, or read quotes of, Alonso saying that Vettel almost stopped in T1 and that is why he hit him. Now, some think it is an excuse, some might think it is blame, some thinks it is an explanation.

Your view is just your view and not any more right then anyone elses because there is no fact in this matter that we can lean on apart from that their cars was driving at different speeds and tried to occupy the same space.

I'd be interested in a quote with the bolded part in it.

Finish news:
Heikki Kulta interviewed people on the paddock:

Are you that brave to post a report from this journalist in an Alonso thread and expect that people would take you seriously?
This gentleman is still crying over spilled milk for Ferrari not honouring Kimi's contract and replacing him with Alonso.

Almost stopping on track seems to be a common tactic employed by Vettel if someone should try to overtake him.

I've seen him do it a couple of times, but one I remember best is China 2011, where he did this to Hamilton at the final hairpin in the dying laps of the race.

Really? Ok, I think the quote was "He was very slow, he almost stopped, but that's not why I hit him" Jesus...

You should know that always when Alonso says something ridiculous, it's misquoted, translated wrong, not what he meant, haters gonna hate etc. and by no means we mere mortals are allowed to try to interpret His words. Even when its so obvious even blind man wouldn't miss it. Or handless samurai if you like that samurai stuff.

Well if Vettel was able to sucker the 'most complete driver of his generation' in the second corner of the race with minor lift without taking any damage, well, more power to him.

It probably turns out I am not normal or ordinary (given the criterion cited above I don't even want to be) but it sure did seem Alonso was deflecting and three weeks down the line, when it seemed people were not buying into it, he back pedaled.

Yes, unlike well lets say Räikkönen, Alonso seems quite conscious of his public image, and it did seem the wider public was not exactly buying into his essentially "Vettel brake tested me into the second corner.." argument, well except for the ordinary people.

Bold assumptions, considering the article was made in a dispassionate tone. More importantly the source text linked wasn't even written by Kulta. He only writes for Ts.fi

Great, 2x 'it seems' and 1x 'essentially' followed by a quote that was never said. IOW, you're making stuff up as you go along.

Having to go back to 2003 is pretty telling. :D

Besides, according to the stewards and the cars telemetry readouts, it wasn't at all what you want it to be:

http://www.autosport...t.php/id/10957/

"Following a report from the Race Director which stated that after an incident involving car number 8 (Fernando Alonso) and car number 5 (David Coulthard) which resulted in the latter car leaving the track, the Stewards of the Meeting summoned both drivers and their team representatives," said the statement from the FIA.

"Having heard evidence from both drivers and team representatives, viewed video and telemetry evidence, the Stewards of the Meeting are satisfied that the incident requires no further judicial action."

Of course, could be that Santander did manipulate the telemetry and bribed the stewards.

I see. The same Kimis "whining" over Perez affects the iceman image, or more? Or less? :D

exactly the same. Everybody realize it's just the same complain about other driver's foul moves to team radio in the heat of the battle and to blame the driver in front when you f'up your front wing to the press days after the incident.

yeah yeah, samurai didnt ever blame vettel, I save you and your normal friend Arrow from asking the quote. it's just that we haters read stuff that isn't there.

Since you all are "bit" touchy here and blaming Kulta for hating Alonso, it should be said the article on previous page wasn´t his (and that article really wasnt anti Alonso but we know how sensitive it can be here). Is there other examples that Kulta is a hater? Just asking because I'm under impression that he is widely respected journalist in the paddock.

Fernando "the clean racer" Alonso.

(a) this incident has no relevance to this thread
(b) Alonso moves to the middle of the track and stays there - he doesn't make Coulthard's life the least bit difficult
© the stewards absolved Alonso, and
(d) the commentator in this clip describes the incident as "difficult to call" and "unfortunate", electing not to blame Alonso despite the fact he was Coulthard's manager and agent at the time, so he had every motive to big up DC on the television and to deflect blame onto Alonso.

You're wasting your time... I already tried to point this out. I guess his journalist skills are better than Kulta's who has been an F1 journalist since 1978 (or -83, officially)...
