Something I noticed in the Sepang post-race...

Webber - When irritated, seems to 'stomp' his water/drinks bottle down. Noticed it three times now in different press conferences.

Got me thinking, how many other 'iconic trademarks / driver traits' can we commonly recognise and associate? Some of these traits making it quicker to identify a driver for whatever purpose... (if say, shown a clip or part of an image or if playing pictionary/doing an impression how easy could you identify them?)

Here's a few (obvious) that spring to mind...

Vettel - The Finger

Schumacher - The victory jump (arms and legs)

edit - removed loads on my list. Might be a nice little game, pictonary style. MS paint sketch, spend no more than 30 seconds. See if you can guess in the most crudest drawing...

Nice thread but

Jacques Villeneuve - The first 'for sure' speaker of them all

I'm pretty sure he wasn't the first - bien sûr ;)

Which (other) French speaking guy started this?
Alain Prost?

Alonso used to do weird poses/dances on top of his car after wins, haven't paid attention whether he still does that in Ferrari.

Alonso does those puppet gestures with his hands as he crosses the line for a victory (he's been doing it his entire career, got it from a kids show he used to watch during his childhood or something).

And as for the pictures, here's a few guesses:

1) Keke Rosberg in his sunglasses?

3) Hill helmet?

4) Vettel's finger (obviously)

Well 5 is a trick question because it can be either Alesi or Verstappen.

More guesses.....

2) Nigel Mansell (Red 5)

5)Jean Alesi (the red gloves give it away)

Alain Prost was defintely saying "for sure" a long time before Jacques Villeneuve, but Jacques always had race-suits several sizes too big, so it looked as though he'd shrunk in the wash.

Ukyo Katayama and his 'nodding dog' impression when driving......

Barrichello was not a dance, it was a self deprecating joke that he was slipping on the podium in reference to when he won and race in the lower leagues and slipped and fell off the podium.
