If I was a betting man, I would say that there will be stickers this year. Probably in early March as well...

Dank, you could be right. I don't want to 100% guarantee they'll happen, but they should... and my guess would be early March also, maybe the 1st or the 8th issues. I will know more tomorrow when my colleague Sam Jempson returns from a brief holiday. She's dealing with it! Keep hassling me: as soon as I know for definite, I'll confirm.

Yes - the latest I've heard is that they'll be published again this year in one of the March issues. I think that the magazine team were planning on publishing them a little earlier in the year than in 2012, but the last minute uncertainty around various calendars didn't help!

I'll put a note in the forums once we can confirm the date.

My 14th March issue arrived this morning, 13 days, not bad since they've been sending in a plain envelope. Guess what? No bloody diary stickers. I phoned Haymarket and the first person that I spoke with, Ross, whilst helpful was totally non-committal as to whether anything could be done but that they would try to arrange for some to be sent to me. I then asked to speak with his manager, Emily, incidentally, I spoke with Emily last April 17th and by the 2nd May, she apparently didn't exist or so I was told by Leigh, but I digress. On speaking with Emily, I am informed that these stickers are not available overseas, exclusively UK issued, well that's news to me! irrespective, she told me that she would do what she could. This, I was not prepared to accept. I asked then to speak with her manager, Lisa, Lisa and I go back a long way she has rarely had to do anything other than listen to my perpetual complaints. Lisa is at lunch. I agree to phone at 2.30 on her return.
Within 10 minutes of putting the phone down, Emily called back to say that they had sourced a set and would be putting these in the post.
As I have stated before, there appears to be nobody that is truly accountable at Autosport, the people that me, you, and the neighbour's dog have to make contact with is Haymarket. I am sick to death of having to threaten to cancel my subscription to achieve result.
When my subscription was due for renewal, I was written to by Charles Bradley, after renewing, I was written to and thanked by Andrew van de Burgt. I wonder what response I'll get from either of them when I constantly phone them this afternoon and continually until I receive these stickers.
Sheer unadulterated bloody incompetence!

3.15 update. Lisa has called me and assured that a set of stickers is being sent out. More worryingly, she has confirmed that a directive from Haymarket denies the sending out of any supplements, advertising material or other "freebies" that would normally be included in UK issue magazines. Does this mean that I can kiss goodbye to the Le Mans and British GP supplements?

Since AUTOSPORT magazine goes to press on a Tuesday night, I'm afraid you won't have much luck getting hold of the magazine's editor on a Wednesday.

If you had got hold of him, he would probably have pointed you in the direction of myself or the magazine's publishing manager as we've got some spare sheets of diary stickers next to us in the office. If you send me an E-mail with your address to simon.grayson@haymarket.com I will put a sheet in the post for you!

(This goes for any other subscribers who didn't get diary stickers in their issue two weeks ago as well)

Another magazine complete with stickers has arrived this morning, thank you. Six days, and four of those bank holidays, just shows what Royal Mail is able to achieve as opposed to the Spanish correos which my sub issues are franked with.

Yes - it looks like we will be publishing these with the magazine in late February or early March.

Thanks Grayson, now all that I have to do is how to make sure that my magazine, when it arrives, has a copy. This hasn't been the case the last two years.

Nice to see proof positive that you are reading this forum though. Just a shame that it would appear that you are unable to respond in other threads for one reason or another. I'm not convinced that this is the best approach, were us complainers placated once in a while, a lot less flak would be flying around.

Good point m11!  The silence in the forum issues threads does not inspire confidence that anything will ever be fixed again.  Not a nice feeling for users at all.

Now we have to hope that there won't be any calendar changes after we go to press with them...

Thanks Grayson, is there any way that I can ensure getting a set please. Quite why they refusr point blank to sent them out inside the magazine is beyond me. Prior to 2010 they were, I'm now just told that it's not policy. When I receive the magazine, 3-4 weeks after issue, to then discover no stickers, I then have to phone and plead with people to find me a set. Thanks in anticipation.

I've had it confirmed that the diary stickers are due to be included in the overseas subscriber copies this year.

 

As with previous years, we should have some spare sheets in the office, so I can put some in the post if something goes wrong (once I've finished putting a set in my own diary, that is).

As a long time subscriber I was disappointed that, despite yesterdays AS cover proclaiming that the diary stickers were included, a diligent search proved fruitless  I suppose North of Watford is foreign territory and my kitchen calender will be less colourful this year

Hi Grayson, although last year my magazine arrived with a set of stickers, the two previous years they were not included. I was told at the time that postal copies would not contain them. As I probably won't receive my copy for another three weeks or so, would it be prudent under the circumstances to write to you also. Thanks.

Our Publishing Manager doesn't have any plans set in stone yet - she's promised to let me know as soon as a date is confirmed so that I can post it in here!

 

I picked up my own desk diary during lunch today, so I'm looking forward to getting the date stickers myself...
