I fully agree with Ed Straw's outraged reaction to Ceccoto's deeds in Malaysia, as far as racing ethics are concerned. But pointing "soft ethics"
as a novelty ? What of the numerous Schumacher infringements ? And would Schumi have acted as he repeatedly did, if he had not had Senna's "terrorist" behaviour in mind ? I am afraid sports ethics are long gone in motorsport, whatever the level of competing... And Vettel's selfishness and arogance in the same aforementioned week end won't help...

You have waited two years to post something, and then it isn't even decipherable?

People are pissed about Cecotto getting off pretty easily for his deliberate moves on Bird, but Michael did things like that without risking much punishment, possibly because Senna had already cleared a path for it. SV another example of interpersonal ethics being unimportant in F1. Ethics not important in motorsport. <- the gist of the OP, in slightly more clear English, I think.

Êtes-vous apparenté à Louis Chevalier?

What Cecotto did was embarrassing- he should've been slung out of the meeting. It was as bad if not worse than Schumacher's worst deeds (Barrichello pit wall).
The modern safety and the fact the top guys do it has led to drivers now putting it more on the line than drivers of the past did.
Vettel's actions weren't dangerous- merely ruthless/selfish

Have to say I didn't see the incident, was it like Maldonado/Hamilton at Spa?

It started the same, but Cecotto kept pushing and pushing all the way across the track, and actually pushed him on the grass.

Two Venezuelans, two brain cells in toto.

And there's also Milka, who wouldn't have been able to push Bird off track on the basis that by the time she got there evolution would have given humankind the power of flight.

There must be someone better for Chavez to leave his money to...

I don't see anything extraordinary except a sporting offense. And it depends who the pusher and the pushed are. Somtimes the pusher's fate is in the hands of the pushed.

Well in perspective if you do that in Nascar you get a medal, dinner with the management and a week of free publicity as fans talk about your badass "payback" (though it was pretty lame here, nearly killing people is cooler (edwards/keselowski)). It must be confusing to be a youngster racing nowdays :well:
