According to one source I've lost in the mists of time, points were awarded for the Olympia Rally, but there is a difference if you look at the finishing times:

Pos	#	Crew Car G/C	Time
1 5 Jean-Pierre Nicolas/Jean Todt Alpine A110 4/2	6:34:08.6 (16269 pts)
2 14 Anders Kulläng/Donald Karlsson Opel Ascona 19SR 2/2	6:53:06.5 (17466)
3 8 Jean Ragnotti/Jean-Pierre Rouget Opel Ascona 19SR 1/2	7:01:34.0 (17974)
4 22 Reinhard Hainbach/Wulf Bienbinger BMW 2002 TII 1/2	7:03:30.5 (18090)
5 31	Gerd Behret/Willi-Peter Pitz Porsche 911S 4/1	7:06:48.5 (18288)
6 26 Detlef Mühleck/Siegfried Zepfel Porsche 911S 3/1	7:07:15.3 (18315)
7 24 Sylvia Österberg/Ingalill Edenring Opel Ascona 19SR	2/2	7:11:30.0 (18630)
8 12 Henri Greder/Christian Delferrier Opel Ascona 19SR 2/2	7:13:07.1 (18667)
9 250	Lars Carlsson/Egil Moreite Opel Ascona 19SR	1/2	7:13:26.9 (18686)
10 29	Rainer Zweibäumer/Günther Schonus BMW 1602 2/3	7:12:44.0 (18944)

The times come from http://www.top100-ra...isse/index.html (14th January 2013), and you can see that the positions based on time do not agree with the positions based on points. So how were the points decided, and where else in the finishing positions do the points/finishing times disagree?

I'm pretty sure it's because the tests were divided into two types, "Bestzeit" and "Sollzeit".

In "Bestzeit" sections penalties were applied for being slower than best (in class?). In "Sollzeit" penalties were given on absolute time.

Quite why the total overall times were published in an official document I have no idea.
