I found a map of this old rally but unfortunately the quality of it isn't too good and I cannot read the numbers on the right. So I'd like to ask if anyone here does have a better copy of this map or have a detailed list of stages (with distance in km) from this rally? And also please post any photos from this event as I could find very few of them over the Internet. Thank you in advance for your help.

It is possible however I cannot verify this in any way as this image had some random name and I don't know the source. It's the only piece of information I got (and a couple of photos I found on Google Image). I managed to find out only that the 11th edition of this rally (in 1960) was canceled and this rally actually ceased to exist as an international event (source: Italian Wikipedia).

Maybe someone has a better map of any other edition of this one of very few winter rallies?

Thank you Fred for posting this image. It shows that the map I found is indeed from that canceled event in 1960. But it's still not good enough for marking the route on Google Maps. What a shame. But thanks once again for sharing this information here.

The 1956 Rallye des Sestriere went down to Modena (Autodromo), Bologna, Imola (circuit), Rome, Monza, Turin and up again to Sestriere.

The 1957 rally started in Sestriere on public roads to Piacenza, then to Modena, and included regularity tests on the Autodromo and Imola circuits. They continued to Rimini, on to Rome and the Castelfusano circuit, then north to Livorno, Genoa, Brescia and via the Monza circuit to Turin and back to Sestriere.

Perhaps you could give us an indication of what you are actually seeking to achieve. Without full official route data from the event itself, it would be impossible to plot the route accurately now. Remember also that for many rallies of the period, the "road" route was not necessarily accurately defined anyway.
The clue to this being 1960 is in the list of winners up to 1959.
Co-incidently, I was re-reading Marcus Chambers' "Works Wonders" the other day looking for something else. He mentions that the BMC team learnt at it's hotel, as they prepared to return home, that his secretary (Margaret Hall) had been killed in a road accident in the UK.

What RS means (if I might interpose myself here) is that rallies were - and in most cases still are - made up of special timed tests, which might have been on a race circuit of an alpine pass or (in the UK) a forestry track - connected by road sections which might - as suggested by RS - simply require competitors to get from one test to the next, not necessarily by a specified route
