Just wondering if there is a minor bug (or major, depending on the cause!) in the forum software?

I've posted a few times in this thread and after posting some additional info in that thread earlier today (after another post by me), went to RC to see if anyone had replied. Looking for a folder with a dot on it, I couldn't see one, which initially made me think "wow, lots of threads have been posted in recently then". I then scanned the last post times to see that some of them were from yesterday. Hmmm.

So then I went to page 2 and found the thread, with me as last poster (correct) and ordered correct by the last post time displayed, but that is the post time of my previous post, about 18 hours before the actual last post...

So I'm wondering if it was just some random issue with that thread, or if the BB has hiccupped because some idiot replied to his own post (even if the reason for doing so wasn't so silly...) As it is, my most recent post has been somewhat of a waste because no-one would know I've added any info to the thread...

PS. IIRC, there was an IPS driver error when I first attempted to submit the most recent post, but then it submitted successfully

I noticed something similar recently in this thread: http://forums.autosp...howtopic=182960

That one seemed to involve the same poster responding twice in the thread, but it looks llike there it was just a glitch causing a duplicate post. The double post seemed to have the effect of making not only not displaying either of the double posts display in the 'last post by' field but a couple of others too, making it seem as if no-one had responded to the thread for ages. When Grayson replied in the thread, it all went back to normal. I too assume it's all minor but I figured I'd chip in anyway.
